Saw for myself when cartwheeling onto the pitch, just how good a playing surface we have. Any coincidence that we have picked up lots of wins these past 2 seasons with no rugby here anymore? Either way, special mention to the ground staff for producing such a top playing surface.

Been saying this for months, when you think back when Bristol RFC were churning it up. It's a fantastic surface.

I think its interesting there's an amateur mudbath being played at the Mem this evening. Presumably it would have gone ahead tonight even if we'd been in the playoffs?

It did take us a while to start winning at home though!!...luckily at that point the away form kept us in the mix.

I think that Bristol City will start to notice the effect that playing two sports on the same pitch will have. We have noticed a tremendous improvement in the quality of our pitch, and I am convinced that our performances have improved as a result. It certainly makes it easier to play attacking passing football. Our groundstaff used to perform miracles on the pitch just to keep it playable, now it looks superb

A pitch was the only thing that wouldn't turn the 'teds down...
