I"Ve just attended my first 3 rovers matches for 18 months. I was at Stevenage, Exeter and York games. I kept seeing guys with black polo shirts with a skull & crossbones emblem and RCA embroidered on them. Anyone know who these guys are and what RCA stands for?

Don't know, but if you look at the video put on here by pressuredrop, at 1.50 right above the girls head there is a flag with RCA on it.

On the Rovers appreciation page on facebook there's a few photo's of the flag and various people asked what RCA stands for. It is Real Cider Army. Apparantly a group of gas heads travel home and away every week, drink loads of cider so called themselves the Real Cider Army.

Chris Brown talks about a 1970's record shop on Picton Street called RCA (Record Collectors Association) maybe the flag belongs to a group dedicated to reviving vinyl records?

That was a great record shop. I used to make a weekly pilgrimage to it. Only place I could find Sue and Island label records; early James Brown, Chuck Berry etc. Wonderful place.

That shop keeps on coming up in conversation. Everybody of a certain age remembers it fondly. It made the news headlines in 1974 when the owner's Mother (Colin I think was the owner) refused to stock Roxy Music's Country Life album because of the picture on the sleeve. Goodness knows what she made of it when Punk Rock happened a couple of years later. Happy days.

Maybe the much awaited review into our relegation into the conference has begun?
