All gone a little quiet on the signings front since the initial flurry of activity.
Anyone know any of the trialist's that we may be giving the once over?

Players in the yellow tops are the trialists, big bloke with dark hair to the right of Steve Yates could be a goalkeeper.

Hi guys, was I was miagsygas on the old OF, took a little break from posting on the forums over the summer, helped take my mind off Rovers during the relegation actually.
Anyways, i posted the picture above onto TFF earlier tonight. Two posters thought they recognized the player far left, identified as either Nathan Arnold or Ashley Hemmings. To me, it looks more like Nathan Arnold.
I'll write later if anyone comes up with more names.
Edit: Apologies, wrote far right of the picture in the first post, meant to say far left of the picture.

Guy 2nd from left (as you are facing it) at the front in the yellow is most definitely that Jordan Forrester lad. Only person I can name. The picture isn't great at all, why a pro club uses a potato to take pictures I'll never know.

therefore maybe it is deliberate...
why give your competitors info about players you are still interested in?

I meant the picture quality the club uses in general, they are usually pretty poor quality. Even so, why release pictures at all if masking the identity of the player is what they are going for in this particular case?

Spot the trialist!
(Gasheadwes over to you) This reminds me of those back page photos in the programme that are shown 30,40 or 50 years or so after they were taken where they ask you if you can name a couple of the obscurer players or where it was taken etc. Trouble is as they have not told us who they are now then how will anyone be able to identify ten of them years from now?!

All the answers to identify who was in the old photos are published in future Rovers programmes . that feature is great for us oldies The photo quality in the Pirate is EXCELLENT

clarke said this morning that none of the trialist have stood out in training, not looking good for them. Where'd he say this? "We've had a good look at them over the first week of pre-season training and they have all worked very hard," said Clarke. "There isn't anyone in particular who has stood out, but they have all done fine. "It will be good to have the opportunity to see them in a game situation and then I will be making my mind up quickly on who and how many will stay on with us for a bit longer. Then Clarke needs to get his fingers out and use his "connections" to get in some players who WILL stand out at this level. The next month will fly by now and we really need to be seeing some creative players coming in soon and the priority should be on getting some players with League experience to replace the many we have lost. To be honest I am very much unsure about Clarke and his ability to get players in. He has talked a good game but there seems to be less talking now and even less action.
