I cannot help thinking that we would not be in this position had Wael not bought the club prior to the Sainsburys court case. I know we have a great squad and a fabulous manager who has, quite literally, performed miracles. It cannot be coincidence that our performances since the purchase have been so consistent and the burden lifted from the clubs shoulders has allowed them to flourish. We all knew quite how special our club is, now a far wider audience gets the chance to be Gassed up!
I feel so privileged to have been at the mem yesterday.

Don't think we'd have come 3rd, but who knows? Clarke set his sights on a top 7 finish and claimed his mission was to get us back into League 1. The great thing about football is its unpredictability. I believe that was the first time Accrington had failed to score at home all season.

Would they have parked in those spaces? None are directors of the club now. Also TW in the end was a mere employee who I understand didn't support the club anyway, isn't he a Coventry fan. Also not sure if I was TW I would have come back. He would have been criticised either way. I am as critical as the next man of the old board, but although generally they were a poor board most of them were fans.

i think we would still have gone up under the old regime, the difference now is we can feel optimistic about next season and beyond instead of apprehensive and doubtful about the future.

It's the scenes after, outside of the ground, of course fab spirits, but so often these things can go a bit sour, none of it. Our new owner on glossy road, on the shoulders of fans, incredible. This is why we have stood by our club, it's living again. We would have made playoffs with the old lot, but the gloom over sainsburies, same old rhetoric, it would not have felt like this, our new owners and management have allowed us to feel hope and optimism.

Dont want to think about. Raise a glass to Wael If ever there's an image that demonstrates that there are some moments you can't put a price on whatever you've got in the bank, that one of Wael being carried on the shoulders of the fans is probably it. It makes the 'Who's owner is richer?' arguments look even dafter - even if Lansdown was the wealthiest man on the planet he still couldn't put his hand in his pocket and buy that moment for himself right now. What a day.

A bold statement perhaps as it was made before the takeover. We won't hit a brick wall this time in League 1.
