Morning fellow Gasheads. Wow, still buzzin from yesterday. The world seems to be a better place today for some reason!
In my 46 years of following the Gas, I have never, ever felt as high as I am now. To see my beloved team clinch promotion with a 92nd minute winner, the feeling of elation was indescribable.
For the first time ever,I really feel that with D.C and Wael at the helm, we can reach heights that we could only dream of in the past. This teams never say die attitude, combined with their skill and determination to win, surpasses all expectations.
So thanks to the squad for a great season, and above all else a massive thank you DC for giving us our Rovers back.
Have a great summer Gasheads.! We`ve got a lot to look forward to.

Brilliant end to a brilliant season. Scenes on Gloucester Road were fantastic with Wael being carried on shoulders. Fantastic stuff. Can't imagine Many other owners being so open and connected with the fans, hope he didn't regret it!
The number of times in 45 ish years I have watched other teams score, get promoted, win something or avoid relegation in the last minute and thought 'that never happens to us', well it has now!
Enjoy!

Just amazing, still smiling now, had so many text messages of congratulations and the day has just seemed to float by. Did exactly the same as we did last year by having a celebratory curry in Newport on the way home (only just a bit earlier). Shame I have to go to work in the morning. So looking forward to League 1, could we even contemplate doing a Burton Albion ?

No Reason why not..... We have a generally young, hungry team with just the minimum of "journeymen" to add experience. We would be looking to recruit players on the up like Taylor, Bodin, Brown and Lockyer if they played for another team. Similarly with Easter, Lines, Mansell, Mildenhall.... Just the type of experience we would look to get in. Best thing of all they know each other well and play as a team... The question will be can Darrell recruit carefully to ensure the team spirit is maintained.
Hey... I am even posting again! I have been a lurker for the last 3 years and now feel motivated to have a say!
