Well done.
Play offs are a lottery and not always best team goes up.
But automatic places after 46 games is deserved no matter how the last day is done.
My congratulations on this achievement.

Sorry to ruin the love-in with the s'hed, but only a few hours ago he was on here saying he was cheering on Oxford and Accy. I hope we go up again and they get relegated.
While you're at it Kaiser, have a word and get that reference to 1897 off of your club crest, it doesn't relate to anything at all to do with the club you follow, that club folded in 1982, it's gone, ended, like the Norwegian Blue, it is dead, deceased.

Not quite sure why you get so wound up on a light hearted comment. The two posts actually aren't out of sync. I obviously WANTED Accrington and Oxford to win in the same manner you admitted before you wanted Hull to win the play off final. However wanting someone else to win and then sending a congratulations to BRFC and its fans for a deserved promotion are not related. Both can still be done. That's my point. |

You usually sing when you're winning, Kaiser, but this time you've sung when we've won! I'll accept the compliment in the faith it's given and say thankyou. Enjoy your summer - as we will - and hope we can join you soon in Division 2. That's where we both belong. Most of us feel we have our Rovers back (or are well on the way)....it's a feeling of connection and belonging....i wonder if most of you could honestly say the same? UptheGas  ? |

Well matey, you can take your congratulations and stick them in the burned out remains of a shop on Symes avenue, I don't want them. We are back in an "as you were" 5 years ago. Will be an interesting summer. We missed out on an opportunity last summer and paid the price this season. 1. We have the chance now to get some players in hopefully starting with Tomlin and showing players we aren't a flash in the pan as we've stayed up. We failed to attract last summer. Whether it was Cotterill or whether it was newly promoted unknowns who knows? 2. You are now in a division far far harder to get out of than your last two. It's now the likes of Coventry, Sheff Utd, MK Dons, Charlton, Bolton etc. All of them vying to get back up. You need a good summer to be ready. Both of us have some work to do. |

I actually think the Conference is the hardest of the three to get out of, possibly then Div 1. The fact the Conference is a graveyard for so many ex-League clubs is a test amount to that.

I think the Conf and L1 are similar.
Your best bet is a bounce straight back up as longer you leave it harder it is.
Luton in Conf and Sheff U/Coventry being examples.
How Sheff Utd are still down there given the size of the club can only be total mismanagement.

As long as we retain our management, structure and key players I genuinely think we can hold our own in 3rd division.
As you say, Kaiser alot of work to be done for both of us.
I think most Rovers fans always knew deep down you were too good to fall out of Div2, but we played our part well in trying to get derby days back....maybe soon, eh? ;-)

UptheGas ? I feel the sense of connection no question. If we had moved to a new stadium, I maybe wouldn't. But I love what's been done to the Gate with the two new stands. I love what Lansdown has done to invest and if we can add the players needed like Odemwinge and Tomlin I'd love to see us push for top 6. We showed we can beat them. |

Appointment of Cotterill saved you and stopped your decline. We will see next season. I do think it's a difficult division (as you say) to get out of. I think also we best operate as one with club and fans....new owners, new investment and a new outlook makes most of us relish June 22nd and beyond. It's good for Bristol. It's good for us. Red trousers are out! |
