After the last two season's final games which ended in misery/frustration, why not this season finishing in our favour. Then at the final whistle after we are confirmed as promoted Wael comes on the pitch and confirmes the stadium and a transfer budget for next season of 10 million. I love Carlsburg ??

There'd be no excuse for a slow start next season like we've had the past two. No need to gel because the team's in place and a couple of good additions will only improve it. No need to tinker around with formations because a settled side will be able to switch from one formation to the other effortlessly. If we stay down then we should get off to a flyer, a new scenario for us under Clarke. It's one thing to chip away, quite another to lead the way.

There is the small matter of 30 goals walking out of the door on a free transfer if we don't go up.

This season has been unexpected and in a sense we have been playing catch up and been the underdogs. Leading from the front will produce a different feel and DC will be under pressure to succeed. Said earlier in March when someone said it would be better to get promo next season that it doesn't work like that. You have to seize opportunities when they arise. I feel we need to grasp it this season and I still think we will. UTG!

I have moaned, yes I admit it, that the team has not hit the ground running for the past few seasons and it has been so unnecessary, that's what pre-season is all about to me. But, while I agree with the post, many of the players are out of contract and MT may leave even if we go up, the team, if you can say that with DC's many changes, may be broken up. DC does get it right, usually, but too often subs have dug us out of holes. Still, long way to go before worrying about August.

There is the small matter of 30 goals walking out of the door on a free transfer if we don't go up. The issue with this is not that he may/may not go, that's life - change is constant, but how that is managed. It's all about how the transition is managed. Most clubs have to deal with this issue almost on a seasonal basis and that's what management is all about. DC will surely have factored this into his planning. Losing Taylor (or any one else of perceived equal value to the team) is not necessarily fatal and is only one half of the equation. Who comes in is equally as critical, how they blend in etc.
