I live fairly near, so could take photographs. However, I am not on Facebook and cannot view any additional information. Does it give details of grave location?
I have sent email to Eric Whitlock.

Well done Badhand. Not exactly close to me near Stafford, but speaking of Staffordshire Gas links, met some Stoke former youth team players Sat night in Eccleshall who said how much Ryan Brunt enjoyed his time at the Mem and how highly he rated Rovers.Very injury prone though so pity it didn't work out for him.

Not sure it would help much anyway. I copied all of Eric's text on his facebook post above, and the document he put with it lists Headstones 16 - 24, but as far as I can see none of the names alongside is anything like Edward Murphy.

Well done, Eric is a top Gashead who lives in Pontypool (originates from Wotton under Edge) and travels with me to all home games and some away. He has been trying to put together some of the early history of Rovers to assist Mike Jay find some of the lesser known facts about Bristol Rovers players.

Great research by Eric Whitlock and assistance by Robert Drew to find the gravestone of former Rovers player Eddie Murphy who we did not know until recently died in the First World War while serving his country.
