People wouldn't gamble for home games. After Woking and Wimbledon both ending in lock outs I don't know why people don't just get the tickets. Agreed - if you are willing to travel that distance surly picking up the phone and ordering a ticket shouldnt be too difficult. However as the OP says, for him and many others, it will be a last minute decision dependant on commitments, there is more to life than football. (apparently ) Oh totally but unfortunately that's how the cookie crumbles. I'm personally surprised we haven't sold out.

(apparently ) Unless you know someone's specific circumstances it is wrong to criticise. What is right for YOU might not be right for THEM. There's previous for games that aren't all ticket selling out though both home and away...

It might have changed since the above but what it says is this:
Please note Bristol Rovers have sold over 1,200 tickets in advance for this game - a limited number of tickets are being returned from Bristol and these will be available from the ticket office on Tuesday night. There will be no away sales on the turnstiles. (I've underlined the difference - quite important)

Well they had a turnstile open for cash only so they must have decided to cash in on the stagglers and I later heard from one of the stewards just before the game we had sold out. The official away seats available according to the web site is 2,000 but I have no idea if that is how many were there or just the 1.200 that were made available ? The poor young ladies in the one refreshment stall had to keep on apologising to our supporters that they had sold out of hot food and that was with about 20 minutes to go.
