Great results for Rovers yesterday and great to be in 3rd place (and breathing down Oxfords neck ) with 4 games left. Just to think that it was a year ago that Rovers played at Dover away and were hoping for automatic promotion. I left that game and looked at the Rovers supporters around me,everyone looked gutted, coming back on the coach I wondered if Rovers would be non league for years, and if they could survive. I wonder how many of the Rovers supporters there that day could have predicted that a year later Rovers would be back in the league AND going for promotion ?.
Looking back over the last 2 years since relegation to the Conference it has been a time of highs and lows, but I have really enjoyed it (ok 1 season non league was enough),I don't think that you can really appreciate the good times unless you have suffered through bad times, something that Premiership 'fans' miss out on maybe ?.

Good point, trymer. I wasn't at Dover that day. Everything around the actual result was brilliant as in the atmosphere, vibe, etc. We didn't lose the match but felt like we lost alot more. I don't think it was in anyone's mind's that the next calendar year we could be in league one. Now that is a real possibility. I guess the moral of the story is you have to take a step back sometimes to make strides going forward (?).

I think that we can all decide on a different moral from the story, never give up ?
I did read a quote about success that struck a chord with me (and I already count this season as a success) 'success is sweet and sweeter if long delayed and gotten through many struggles and defeats'.
