Based on all of the other keepers we've had in recent years I'm more than happy to have Mildenhall going into 4 crucial games.

Mildy made a crucial point blank save late on too. Not in the highlights

Mildy made a crucial point blank save late on too. Not in the highlights Yea saved the game so no complaints from me. Not a great game today from the Gas, Montano didn't get going unfortunately and hindered us at times, but as all good teams do the players mucked in for each other and got the 3 points that matter. Things are looking good but a point dropped here or there will make all the difference between automatic promotion or a play off spot. On to Tuesday and see where we are then UTG

Gaffney's goal very well worked I thought. Not sure if Mildy could have done better with their's the guy [lita] had so much space ... where did the defence go to?....and as always it seems it's down to the keeper could have done better!! think ..considering the pressure he was under at the season start being"out of the frame" he has done brilliant, contender for player of the season i think

Taylor has now become a "ghost" in that box and seems to appear at the right time , his positional awareness has become totally crucial as we run down the games, don't know what his strike rate to chances are but it is certainly improved as the season has progressed,

Mildenhall did make a mistake on the goal, it looked to me like he gave Lita a part of the goal to aim for without realising Lita is still more than good enough to hit it.
Other than that he was brilliant and the save towards the end, followed by the claiming the subsequent cross, was absolutely top class goalkeeping.

Don't think you can blame the keeper it was a quality goal,he covered his near post which is what all good keepers should do and subsequently left a fraction of the goal for Lita to aim at,which he achieved another inch or so and it would have hit the post and come out.Compared to other keepers we have had this season he is far and removed way ahead of them,in fact if he had been playing instead of Nicholls we would probably be not far behind Northampton

If there is a criticism of dc, he got the 2015 goalkeeper issue WRONG! Mildenhall is our salvation atm, and was at Wembley too. A brilliant professional as he could have walked back in the autumn. He stayed and exercised his contractual rights, and me for one am eternally grateful. No disrespect to anyone, but: No one sang Puddy. No one sang Nicholls. No one sang Chapman. I sang Mildenhall yesterday, and I wasn't alone.

Plenty of people sang about Will Puddy. Can't remember any at matches in a prolific way.

Plenty of people sang about Will Puddy. Can't remember any at matches in a prolific way. That's because some idiots were still singing Mildenhall's name or calling out Sh!thead because he wouldn't dance. Mildenhall has been excellent since he's been recalled but if you had seen him play preseason when he was absolutely dreadful you could understand Darrell's reluctance to play him.

Which brings us back the question of what DC will do at the end of the season as regards Steve Mildenhall, given his very definite public utterances earlier in the season. Stick or twist?

Plenty of people sang about Will Puddy. Always interesting to see how the subs come out in dribs and drabs to walk across the pitch and the applause they get. The cynic in me consider that some milk it a bit, while some walk out with others.

Ironically, I thought he (will puddy) was fouled for the Dover goal and never blamed him for any concessions during his reign as keeper. Just can't remember a whole song about him. Fair play if you can. Or even if you started the song yourself. Just can't remember it catching on where I was stood or sat. Mildenhall song is legendary and I sung it with my heart yesterday v Yeovile..
