Good news that we finally put some seats back into our half built (or should I say half repaired) stand....although with only a few days to sell them once the safety certificate was granted, not sure if it will be a total sell out? (And given that a chunk of the crowd nowadays seem to be people who have just come along to see "what all the fuss is about" with Northampton this year, that all results in less of an atmosphere!!)
Best of luck for the rest of the season.

I hope we can get a draw as the Cobblers will be going for it tomorrow as they can gain automatic promotion and possibly even the Championship. If we could sneak a win and spoil the party, I would be really chuffed. I will go for 1-1.

Agree with Peter about JJOT! But in all honesty the stakes are far higher for us than worrying about a self obsessed idiot who if he had another brain cell would be a plant. We must forget about him tomorrow except to remember to track him when he goes into the box. He is just another player and we need to be unemotional about him in the game and if we draw or win give it out after. Hope the fans don't get too abusive towards him, we know where that leads. Just ignore him or plain booing, please no OTT abuse because it will just wind him up. Will be interesting to see the team DC picks, feel it will be different to the Crawley match and the next Yeovil match. Northampton are a good team with lots of good players who will deservedly win the league. We just need to play the 90 minutes and hope to get a draw or better out of it. UTG!

3-7 put some money on that!
In all honesty, i think it will be quite an open game, Northampton need/want a win, and i think we will go for it regardless.

I reckon we will go for it as well, hope he keeps Leads in. 1-2 from me, with an incredible away win.

They need a win to be promoted tomorrow, and will no doubt want to secure it in front of their own fans, as we would in that situation.

As my last 2 away games were Portsmouth and Wycombe I would be quite happy if both teams cancelled each other out

Not sure why, but I feel a 2-0 win to shock the almost-champions. Also wouldn't mind seeing O'Toole get sent off.

Tough match, and graveyard in form of wins historically.
Tricky to predict, but (topically) horses for courses suggest a home win.
You just never know, though..
0-0 And plenty of pints drunk in beamback!

They don't need a win against us to secure promotion tomorrow. I'm hoping that we win tomorrow, and Plymouth, Accrington and Portsmouth all lose. That way, we can all be happy at Sixfields tomorrow.

I won't print my prediction. Suffice to say I would LOVE to be proven wrong. Come on Rovers.

what do you think of The Toole this year bignose - still the same old talented attititude-ridden waster? Actually not!! ...... JJ seems to have had the turn around to beat all turnarounds this season!!? Last year when he arrived at the Cobblers, you could see he obviously had some talent, as maybe once or twice in a game he would make some small positive contribution.....but he just didn't get around the pitch enough, wasn't mobile enough, and didn't run around enough!! (he reminded me style wise of Bayo Akinfenwa but without the first touch or the talent! hehe!! ) He kept getting played behind the striker or too far forward and he just doesn't have enough pace IMO for that role, but I always thought he looked better defensively than going forward. Our manager (Sir Chris Wilder) got fed up with his lack of impact halfway through last season and transfer listed him and dropped him out of the squad. Over the summer he must have done a heck of a lot of fitness work, as he seemed to come back looking a lot leaner and more mobile and hasn't looked back since. He plays in more of a defensive midfield role (as per Roy Keane) this year and pretty much bosses most games. He has kept his head down, kept his mouth shut and is bang on course to be player of the year I would think by some distance. (Ricky Holmes has been fantastic since getting back from injury just before Xmas, and if he had played the whole season I would think he would get the gong, but I think JJ will edge it as he has been consistently good for almost every match this season. He doesn't come across as a "fancy Dan" or a big head in his brief sound bites I have heard online, so maybe being transfer listed for 6 months, and realising his career was hanging in the balance made him reassess his life/career/attitude, who knows?! I guess you have to almost lose something before you can appreciate it, or however the saying goes?! Our fans this season seem to sing for about 30 minutes per game .... "We've got O'Toole, John Joe O'Toole, I just don't think you understand...." etc to the tune of Achey Breaky Heart..... so please don't think they are doing it especially to annoy you, they sing it every week incessantly, to the extent that a lot of the home fans actually get fed up with it!!! Our chances of stabilising or even progressing next year in League 1 depend to a large extent on keeping our manager, O'Toole, Holmes, Smith (our young goalkeeper sacked by Leicester for his appearance in home made saucy video) and 1 or 2 others I wont bore you with!! Safe travelling and see you at the game tomorrow!!
