Anyone know what the situation is with next year's kit Supplier? Are we still tied in with Errea?
If not, anyone have a preference to who we'd like to see supplying the kit? As a lover of old skool kits, I confess I'd love to see the three stripes on the shirt, Adidas supply Jordan national team so with Wael's connection you never know. Puma would be pretty cool too.

Both terrible shouts. Adidas wouldn't make the quarters, Puma have a history in the last couple of years of taking over clubs whole retail side.
One of Umbro, Hummel or Le Coq Sportif would be dandy.

Too late in the season to be choosing kit manufacturers so we'll almost definitely be using Errea for next season, however for the 17/18 season we could definitely see a new manufacturer. Would love to see Adidas personally like the Liverpool away strip in the 90s (which as far as I'm aware was inspired by our FA Cup visit?? - someone correct me on that). Having said that, when C*ty got Adidas apparently they were so demanding of both shirt sales money and the restrictions of what goe sin the shop etc etc that it wasn't worth being with them. So a smaller kit manufacturer would be better for us as a club for revenue at this level.

As I said above, Adidas won't knock together the quarters in the first season. That's why in recent years both West Brom and Southampton have worn kits without stripes.

Yes, I understand that Bristol City found working with Adidas to be such a ballache they exited the deal at the first opportunity, and had to recycle a hell of a lot of stock as they were no longer allowed to sell it.
I personally couldn't give a monkeys who makes it.

This year's kit for Flamengo (Brazilian football club in Rio). They could easily just use this template. (Even though I prefer the quarters lower down)

Hummel.
Some of the World Cup kits down the years have been a thing of sheer beauty!

Same template as C*ty used I think. The article doesn't state anything about that being enforced, however can see why they'd not go to any extra expense unless the relationship turned out to be sustainable.

But Adidas have regularly supplied kits with stripes (Newcastle and Argentina both spring to mind). Perhaps Wael's Jordanian FA position could get us some preferential treatment.

I have never actually bought nor worn a Rovers shirt and, now I am of a certain age, I don't think it behooves to wear BUT I would be happy to buy and wear one of it is a quality product. I have bought Rovers training kit and found it rip very easily and fall apart on a gentle wash. I have tried to get one of the Pink shirts as that looked good when worn casually.

I don't understand. Surely the club tells the manu what they want, simples. Could somebody tell me why we ended up in tescos carrier bags a few years back?

Quarters back to the original BRFC (not BMW) orientation, made by anyone. I want the old Toffs cotton long sleeved jersey but Toffs no longer make this, the Black Arab, or the 1970s quarters they used to. I had all three once, not that I ciuld wear them. Polyester replicas adorned with commercial sponsors are not me at all though. Woe is me.

Quarters back to the original BRFC (not BMW) orientation, made by anyone. As part of the retail panel we discussed the orientation of the quarters for the concept work for this current home shirt. With our current emblem the orientation works better with white beneath it so that it can be seen easier. You can see the legibility/visibility difference between these two shirts: As a designer, visibility of our crest is more important than the orientation of the quarters. If our crest is ever redesigned then the quarters could flip as much as we want. It's also worth noting our orientation has flipped continuously throughout our history: www.historicalkits.co.uk/Bristol_Rovers/Bristol_Rovers.htm
