Recently I've started receiving automated messages to my email telling me the above. It gives me the option to unsubscribe. Does anyone know why these have started?

Me too - I'm not sure why they've started as to my knowledge, no settings have changed at our end. I suspect this is something that the forum hosts have started doing, but I'll check if there's a setting in the admin panel we can change! |

I seem to remember recently being offered the chance to unsubscribe from such reminders. Which I did, and so I don't.
Can't remember any details tho'. Sorry.

It's under notifications in edit profile and settings. I too have had those emails, there's an option to set them to 'never', which I have just done and will have to wait and see as it was set to 'weekly'.

I think it's a good help in following threads that you may have forgotten. Some threads aren't replied to for ages so you stop going to them. In this case an alert is a nice idea. I don't understand the problem, It's only an email. Delete it if you don't want it.
