I just wondered if it might be a route you would consider as you've mentioned in the past that you've approached the club with recommendations but not had a response, perhaps contact BSS as he would seem closer to the management, just an idea...... Not applicable any more, just been offered a role at a championship club, which I have accepted and part of the job specification is that I cannot recommend players to other clubs, meeting next week to dot I,s and cross T,s ,they must think I have something to offer, not bad for a rubbish scout I guess you either haven't discussed this with the new chairman and owner ? I do understand the frustration with trying to give suggestions and offer to help the old lot. I never once got a reply and I sent letters, not just emails. I know of others who had the same treatment. It's very early days with our new owners in anycase and I have no doubt that they will be utilising the best people for these jobs. Good luck with the new club. BTW, who has said you are a rubbish scout ? I can't see any of that on this thread

I guess if you're employed by a club they're hardly going to be impressed if you go recommending players to other clubs or would that just apply to other Championship clubs. Must be great having a job that you have such an interest in and getting paid for it too

I believe season ticket holders of seats from 2015/16 season have until 31st May to renew their season ticket for 2016/17. Only after then will vacant seats be made available. I'm still not certain if that 3830 includes all season ticket renewals including seating areas or is just for terracing. Quite amusingly on the ticket web site even the terraced areas are described as seats but if you ring the ticket office they'll tell you there are no seats available for sale until 1st June ? Why are you making disparaging comments about the supporters club, it's quite clear on another thread the high regard there is for those who volunteer for all the various tasks they undertake ? What part of 3830 standing season ticket sales don't you understand The uncertainty caused by our web site classifying all the terraced area as seating and not showing the number of actual seats available, honestly nothing more sinister than that. Trust me, if that figure doesn't include the seated areas then we could be on our way to almost doubling the number of our season ticket holders on last season which would be amazing.

If you bothered to go on the sc website it gives a breakdown of where tickets were sold and the percentage of the capacity that represents,as for part 2 I was head hunted after leaving my last post, was quite happy to give up and enjoy what years of retirement I have left but it was flattering to be approached by a top championship side,as a by word if a certain championship side offered me a fortune no way would I work for them.It also means that my season ticket wont be used very often next season ,but then again it wasn't this one either

Blimey at this rate I'll have to leave an hour earlier than I normally do for every home match and I leave now at 12.45

I used to leave just gone 12 and park up at the civil service sports club at 1.15 with the club car park less than half full. By the end of last season I was leaving at 1130 and only just getting a space before having to go down to the playing fields! :-0

If that figure is correct than that's bloody good. Makes you wonder how many pay on the day fans we will have though.

If 6000 is right that's pretty remarkable.

Certainly looks like we will have a good number whatever.
All the exec boxes are sold for the whole season. With the seat renewals now finished an updated figure from the club will be interesting

Whether there was a waiting list or not for seats I'm sure people were waiting to see if season ticket holders from last year renewed or not. You can see where the thinking behind 6,000 comes from. These figures show 3,871 terrace tickets sold, so just a case of adding seats. bristolroverssc.co.uk/2016/05/29/st-latest/In the 'Aerofilms Football Grounds' book 13th edition (2005/06 season) they put the number of seats at 4,000. I've seen mention on Rovers website of 3,000 seats. Go with 3,000, take away a few hundred for away fans, then take some for segregation, a hundred or so Saturday Club / Schools in the South Stand, a couple of hundred for hospitality in the East Stand ... and you're left with around 2,200 - 2,400 seats to flog as season tickets.

Think I might have worked out where the SC have been getting the season ticket sales from. I noticed the figures are very similar to the online ticketing on the official site, which has been notorious for fluctuating, or not providing the true figure, in the past. On the BRSC website: bristolroverssc.co.uk/2016/05/29/st-latest/It features this table, which someone has been updating: - 2,015 supporters have bought Season Tickets for the North Terrace. ( @1600 hrs on 30/05 ) - 879 supporters have bought Season Tickets for the East Terrace. ( @1600 hrs on 30/05 ) - 718 supporters have bought Season Tickets for the West Enclosure. ( @1600 hrs on 30/05 ) - 259 supporters have bought Season Tickets for the Family Enclosure. ( @1160 hrs on 30/05 ) Very few of the seats will be available to purchase on a match day basis in the 2016/17 season. On the BRFC website: purchase.tickets.com/buy/TicketPurchase?agency=BRISTOLGENERAL&organ_val=36869&schedule=listClick 'Buy Tickets' - then - 'Click Here To Choose Your Own Seat From The Plan' - then click each area in turn, you get: - North Terrace = 3710 in section / 1688 available = 2022 sold. - East Terrace = 2291 in section / 1409 available = 882 sold. - West Enclosure = 880 in section / 149 available = 731 sold - Family = 721 in section / 462 available = 259 sold. So they either: - Got the figures from official sales. - Got the figures by checking the online ticketing on the website, and that is now reflecting the true figure. - Got the figures by checking the online ticketing on the website, and might end up ...

There's a chance that not all tickets for each section were available in the beginning so that each stand has a number available for matchday sales.

There's a chance that not all tickets for each section were available in the beginning so that each stand has a number available for matchday sales. Well, maybe that's a reason; you'd think they'd sell as many season tickets as possible, rather than holding space for matchday. I've always thought they hold back a number of season tickets from the online sales (and also matchday tickets, for particular matches) to accommodate sales in person. They would need a certain percentage in Pirate Leisure and 199 Two Mile Mile for people who purchase from the shops direct.

Reading the web site there must be season tickets for seats being held back as in the same article about all Executive boxes being sold out for the entire season they are offering Season hospitality tickets for seats in the East Stand at £1265 + vat.

The club won't sell every seat in the stadium for season ticket use as there has to be an allocation of complimentaries, corporate guests, and sell per match etc. (I'm sure everyone knows that, even though there may appear empty seats at a match, it has been allocated and/or paid for in advance). Obviously, the seats they've allocated for season ticket sale next season has sold like hot cakes. I think it's wonderful we've got our club back and there's heightened interest. It reinforces the Wael decision to take over the club and is generating more money in living memory with rising attendance figures. Well done club / playing staff and us, the supporters..

Yes, but the seats for East Stand hospitality have always been put aside for hospitality. There is a maximum they can cater for in the dining suite, and a corresponding number of seats in the stand put aside. Any Season hospitality would surely be taken from that pool.
