I wonder if our newly-restored supporter will be jumping straight back in by purchasing a season ticket, or will be paying on the day? Just in case, like.

Er..
"I believe that plans were in place for a small increase for next season but, as a gesture of goodwill, the new owners have decided to cap season ticket prices at the current levels apart from a small increase in the Family Saver Tickets.
"The Al-Qadi family were delighted with the magnificent warm welcome they received from all Rovers supporters last week. The tribute was genuine and heartfelt was greatly appreciated."
Another reason to celebrate.
Obviously the previous encumbrance were happy to reward fan's loyalty with a hike in price.
So far, so good from newbies..

Looks like the sort of thing you'd learn on day one of PR school to me. Pretend the old regime were going to do something bad, and be the hero that doesn't do it.

True - although it does show a surprising willingness to throw the old regime under the bus. I'm not sure they'd give 2 hoots but I can't imagine Nick Higgs and co being desperately happy with the actions of our new lords and masters this week given that they seem very keen to accentuate their desire to build a good relationship with the fans in contrast to the previous regime. The Kevin Spencer situation was just plain common sense and a no-brainer of a decision that undoes one of the more embarrassing PR blunders of the previous regime (not to mention an injustice) but this strikes me as a bit more unneccesary. I'm not complaining particularly but I am a little bit surprised.

They held prices for five years, and they're no longer in charge. Keeping the price fixed is appreciated, and that's all they needed to publicise in my opinion.

Well I think the other thing they've done is give us plenty of notice of their intentions as opposed to the previous encumbents, yet another noticeable difference. I appreciate you're very wisely in the 'still checking them out brigade'

I must admit I think it is a very good move. I am very tempted to get one next season, even more so if I can convince a friend to share the driving.

No not really - I think it's a good move and I like that they are doing their best to build up good relations with the fans with easy moves like this. I just don't see why they need to frame it in contrast to what the previous regime had planned particularly as I don't think it had been officially announced (or am I wrong about that?).
