I dont think MT and Gaffers have been working very effectively as a partnership for some time. Didnt seem to be much understanding there at the weekend, several times a flick on by Gaffney would have put MT into space, but instead he does well, holds it up and plays it back into midfield.
The option would be Easter i guess, against portsmouth he played wider, more of a wide midfield/ support role, so wouldnt like to judge too harshly on that performance. Would like to see 4-4-2 with easter and Gaffney playing as more of a partnership. Dont think that will happen at Wycombe though tbh.
Would like to see two wide men play in a 4-5-1 tbh, with Gaffney up top on his own with support from midfield, unfortunately for that to work we'd need a more attacking threat in midfield - which i cant see in the team atm.

Give Montano a start and give Matty a rest on the bench.

If what gasincider say is true then Matty T has already signed a pre contact with Hearts. If this is the case then I guess it would explain his seemingly less than great form. I bet he will be gutted now if he has signed the contract, to move. It's one of the big and unanswered questions in why does DC seem to keep on picking him. I would love to see Jamie Lucas back and fighting for his place but that is another subject

Alternatively, if this is true, surely Matty would be trying his hardest to prove what a great decision Hearts have made. I think he's just having a bit of a bad spell, like he had a couple of times last season. I've never really understood why Jamie Lucas is not in and around the first team, but again DC seems to know what he's doing so I'll just have to trust him on that one!

Do we know this to be factually correct or is it speculation based on information from the Oxford forum which I believe is where it was started but in fact there has been some suggestion that it might not have been our M Taylor but the one who plays for Exeter ?
