Ah, not606. I forgot about that place. The information in that thread makes sense. Apparently no FFP rules in this season for us as we are a promoted club and 75% of our turnover next season if we are still in League 2. That is interesting if that is true of course. I see that place is still quiet. Too quiet for me to be honest. Thank you again gashead1979. I agree, I just think a lot of fans are going to expect us to break the bank in the summer and I don't think that's going to be realistic.

No worries, would be nice to know how it works exactly.
I vote we get Lambert back in on loan lol
Never going to happen. Lambert is the past. Leave it there I say! More chance of getting Zamora I reckon! As regards the rest of the season I think top 7 is now an expectation rather than an aspiration.

Why not? I cant see why we shouldn't aim high for some loan players who want to be involved in a promotion push?
It would only be for a few months as well, no commitment.

I think people will be disappointed if they expected to splash the cash in the summer. I don't think it's DC's preferred method and we don't want to go back to having a team full of mercenaries. The evolution not revolution comment by the new owners suggests steady investment rather than throwing money at the club. I think there will be from next season more pressure on DC to bring success once the club is stabalised in its operations. If the board give you money to spend you spend it, i imagine there will be a little more to spend now. I am not expecting us to splash millions, but i think its possible we start spending something on a player. Last time we spent in the 100ks must have been for Rickie Lambert in 2006. Edit: pressure on DC i mean in comparison to couple weeks ago, i think he has done a great job with the budget he has had. There will naturally be more of an expectation to be competitive.

Assuming Bodin sticks to the right, I would like to see us loan a young Championship left wing speedster / dribbler - i think thats the only position we could get someone in without putting someone's nose out of joint as neither Montano or Lawrence has made it their own. It would mean we would have to favour 442, which would put a stress on the two central midfielders, but i think Sincs and Mansell/Lawrence could weather it (with Lines on the bench as a 'flat track bully' when we play the lower teams)

I dont think he will want to drop to our level even if it is to come back to us. He is involved in first team affairs at West Brom, which is what I believe he will rather be apart of and would want to stay and help his club avoid relegation. Your 'no commitment' line is what would worry me with getting loans in. We would want players to give full commitment to our cause.

I was thinking little commitment more from our perspective.
Maybe we can get a few big loans who's wages would have previously been an obstacle? If it doesn't work out then we have only lost a few months wages
I personally do not think we have the quality to go up again this season with what we have, so do we continue as we are and hope for a bit of luck, or do we have a real go at it considering we are in the mix?
