I was wondering how all this off field drama will impact players and manager? OK, Darryll has been given a vote of confidence but even he must be wondering how things are going to pan out as will the players. Focus and professionalism please everyone we need the three points to get our play off challenge on track.

On the other hand, maybe the 'new owner' effect is like the 'new manager effect' on steroids and is a Very Good Sign.
No idea, but if off-the pitch-happenings mean that we're assured that we can still afford for on-the-pitch happenings to still go on, then maybe Darrell and the boys have been relieved of some uncertainty now and concentration on the game will be better rather than worse.

They should all be out there grabbing the chance to impress and to win back-to-back promotions now that it's financially viable. Swansea and Bournemouth still have players who went the whole journey with them.

I really think it should act as a huge motivator for any player lucky enough to pull on the quarters, particularly the current crop. Not many contracts nailed down in a club that has momentum (for the first time in 9years) coupled with the stability of no debts and the surety of a stadium which could quite feasibly be up in time for the back end of the 2017/8 season. Without going out and playing like a maniac in a local Derby, I should think they would be very keen to impress.
I sincerely hope this allows us to keep some good players who deserve the chance at higher levels- Lockyear Parkes Browner Leadbitter Sinclair Gaffney
Possibly Taylor.

I may have mis read this, but I thought someone said our new owner went to Pompey.
i guess the manager and players would have known and having read the match reports would suggest a far from positive impact was created!!

Its a relatively important game in the context of our season too, after a couple of tough away trips we need to get back to winning ways.

Strong winds savo, one of the worst conditions in an open stadium.

A bumper crowd to welcome our new owners, the team will want to impress and morecambe will want to spoil the party. Interesting afternoon in prospect. Gas need to come out firing and get the crowd behind them.
