There was a programme this evening on Radio Bristol with Geoff Twentyman all about Rovers. I was unable to listen to it at the time but going by the lack of anything about it on here, I am guessing either it was crap and not worth mentioning or no one knew about it. Did anyone on here listen to it? If so, what it any good? Thanks for any replies.

lee Mansell, on tonight, also listening on playback, interesting views so far and seems quite level headed about the current state of the team, and some little bits on last season,

This is going to be a regular Thursday evening 6-7pm slot for all things Rovers. Pity that it clashes with Ice Road Truckers on Dave!

It's worth a listen for the radio Bristol commentary snippet of Mansell's penalty back in May. Hadn't heard it before but gave me the goosebumps massive time!

Excellent interview, really enjoyed it and there were some really good questions either sent in during the programme or people ringing in being able to chat with Lee, as ever seemed as down to earth a person as you could be and was mischieviously taking the michael out of one or two players. Well worth listening to.....

Was posted on gaschat on the 15th Not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet but there's a lot of changes at Radio Bristol. Geoff Twentyman is starting a daily sports programme next week, from 6 to 7pm every weekday. Rovers get the Thursday slot, entitled 'Having A Gas'. I'm going to be a guest on his first ever episode, on Thursday 21st. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p03f5l6kP.S. Avoid the Monday slot. It's the noisy neighbours... Tues = Rugby, Wed = other local sports, Fri - Round up of the week, and a look forward to the weekend action.

If they're calling our evening slot 'Having a Gas' are they likely to be calling the other lots evening slot 'Having a Sh!t' ?!

I thought the programme was very good. The extended interview format allows greater insight and to be fair, I thought Geoff Twentyman did a good job.
Lee Mansell was everything you would expect, level headed, experienced with that touch of humour. Showing again the great spirit in the camp.

I started a thread about it but it has just slipped onto page 2. gasheads.org/thread/4453/having-radio-bristol-weekly-thursI should have shamelessly bumped it. I've met Lee before but he just gets bloody better looking every time. git. And he's a good talker. Our very own Goldenballs.

Well worth listening to..... i was sitting there whilst he was being interviewed The production assistant(s) pass the texts, phone calls and emails onto Geoff and he will ask them to phone some of them up and see if they want to speak to the interviewee / elaborate on their question etc. It's standard radio practice and works well, although you are the mercy of the quality of texts etc you get. So the message is Gasheads... If you've got an opinion or something on your mind, it's always worth a text / email / phone call to them as they can only deal with what they get. if they get 5 people saying 'DC is useless' (I'm thinking more Sept 2014 now, rather than Jan 2016) it's bloody hard for them to give the other side if no-one offers it.

You went all the way over from West Wilts to Clifton for three and a half minutes on the radio? They might as well have spoken to you on the phone; some of the callers had more time than you! It seemed like, come the end, GT realised he was running out of time and tried to cram every last second before the news.

I usually make sure in life I do several things at once (I did some book deliveries, picked my wife up, family all went out together later etc) It's all good. All publicity is good publicity. It's his show. not mine. and I can think of many worse ways of spending an hour of my life than being in a radio studio listening to GT and manse, and see how it all works etc.

I listened this morning as I was unable to listen live last night, I thought it was excellent. Manse did an great job and it was nice to know that other team-mates were listening in. I hope the show tonight is going to be similar to the old 'Friday' Twentyman Talks Back. UTG.

The proposed book mentioned by Martin on the Twerton days may be too long ago for many people to recall. This year its the 20th year we have been at the Mem ...plenty to recall over those two decades

can't believe the bloke who called and said 'its a man's game'. It seemed completely out of context, and 20p and Mans both shut that down pronto. Maybe nervous because he was on the radio?
