poor marking for their first goal. Lovely finish from Matty for his. The next opportunity not so much though - the 'other side of Matty'. Great result

Not sure Taylor had much left to do with his goal, the ball from Leadbitter was superb.

There's a bit more of the build up to our first goal on this video. It shows as well as being a great run and cross from Danny, and finish from Matty, the importance to be able to hold the ball up and release other players, as Rory did. Similar with the second, with Ellis controlling the ball and Jermaine in position for the knock down.

Ellis's penalty was pretty much straight down the middle again, if slightly to the side the 'keeper dived. What happens if one decides to stay stood up? Or with the power would they end up in the back of the net with the ball?

Does anyone have a link to gasheads singing at half time, it happened on the concourse under the stand? There were loads of half-time posted on one of the Rovers facebook groups and a few have made it to facebook. Search 'Brsitol Rovers Fans', click 'filter', then click 'upload date' for chronological order with newest at the top. Of search 'Oxford United v Bristol Rovers' and apply the same search. Here is one ...

Or with the power would they end up in the back of the net with the ball? i've been saying that for ages. if anyone does their research on him... It was a bloody hard whack though. But that was the closest one yet. GK was clearly annoyed at being so close. But as they say, any pen that scores is a good pen.

Ellis does really well with that up & under from the back! exc control. The Taylor fluff was also a good move, and again shows what Gaffers offers the team (oxford were crying 'blatant push' though) 'back to the goal' is unfairly maligned these days but it's still an art, a skill and a valid tactic at times.

Well being fair it was a blatant push but on the blind side of the linesman so he got away with it. The first goal speaks for itself the 2nd I thought was excellent due to the fact Ellis had only been on the pitch a few minutes and to control the ball the way he did from the punt from the goal keeper was fabulous and then to lay it off in one move to Easter was brilliant play by him.
