Its either Gaffney or a different striker meaning we have given up on Gaffney. Darrell Clarke wants a striker badly.
So it will end up being a left back or another CM again!

Looks promising, could well be announced this morning by the sounds of it. He wants to go and with only 6 months left of his contract he isnt going to be part of their future it would appear so seems sensible to cash in and move him on.

From the above link for those who cant read it.
Rory Gaffney could still get his wish for a move from Cambridge United to Bristol Rovers.
United chief executive Jez George said the clubs remained in talks over the striker's future after Gaffney vented his spleen in the Irish media, stating he would rather have stayed with the Pirates after a loan spell that saw him score five goals in seven matches.
Gaffney said he also felt he had been messed around by United, claiming he had been told he would not get games by manager Shaun Derry and that he would be allowed to move to the Memorial Stadium on a free transfer.
"I don't know what will happen this weekend," he told the Irish Sun.
"Bristol want me, but I don't know what will happen here."
Gaffney started last Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Crawley.
But how much longer he is with United remains to be seen, with Rovers boss Darrell Clarke still desperate to take him back.
George said: "There's dialogue between the two clubs, but we're absolutely adamant that we'll only do what's right for Cambridge United.
"That's our job and our responsibility."
But George felt it would not be right to comment on Gaffney's outburst or whether he would be censured for his actions.
He said: "We're a professional football club that always endeavours to behave professionally, therefore I don't feel it would be professional to comment on a story of this nature.
"Obviously, Rory is a professional footballer and we'd expect him to behave in an equally professional manner.
"I don't want to comment further and I think we'll put everything into context at the right time when we've resolved Rory's future."

Both out of contract end of season. Is Ellis a loan or permie?

Rory comes in and its a swap deal seeing Harrison go to Cambridge.
We will also sign Tubbs too next week because we will still be a striker short.
Just a guess though.

Would be delighted if Harrison left. He's not football league standard, but his efforts last season were superb, he's probably better suited to being at a small club like Cambridge.

Whilst I don't think he's to football league standard currently, it's easy to forget he's only just turned 21 I think he could go on to be a good striker in the future if he can get regular game time somewhere.
