I can't see us signing anyone else now we've got Gaffney and Lawrence in, but I'm pretty sure the current keeper is plenty good enough for this division. I think we're good enough to beat anyone in this division, we've almost beaten Plymouth twice and they're as good a side as any. I agree with you, of course we got beaten at home by Oxford,Northampton and Portsmouth earlier in the season but we've not lost to Plymouth and we've now beaten Oxford away. We hadn't got to grips with playing at home earlier against counter attacking teams, we now appear to have got that sorted plus we have strengthened bringing in Gaffney and Lawrence. Lines is only just returning from injury so almost a new signing plus Darrell is rotating the players as he sees necessary. We've not been outplayed by anyone over the last few months and I doubt other teams have any more in depth squads than we have, so I see no reason why we shouldn't have a little confidence in our ability to maintain our current form and to press the teams above us for a top three place

We have got to be happy with where we sit in the table right now. The top 3 is doable and their is a confidence around the team. Given all that is happening off the pitch, i was ready to take midtable at thr start of the season with the whole UWE saga/clusterf*** Anything less than the playoffs now would be disappointing because barring significant injury we are good enough for that and have shown so I think this has been an amazing season so far to be honest. Obviously missing the playoffs from here would be a dissapointment but not a disaster - there is a real feelgood atmosphere around the club for the first time since the FA Cup run under Trollope I would say.

The present team could make the play offs, but Saturdays game showed Plymouth as a real automatic promotion team but not Rovers. There was a difference in standards.

Really? I saw a close draw, with both teams having periods of pressure

If we are being really honest they were slightly better than us, we gave as good as we got and I think playing at our own ground gave us an extra something. That's not to decry how we played or that we played well, I think even Darrell admitted as much in his radio interview that he felt they were the slightly better team, nothing wrong with that, we just have to step it up another notch, do I think we can get an automatic slot, I see no reason why not, do our players believe it, it appears so by their performances and attitude on the pitch. There's a good feeling around the place at the moment even better than I perceived the 2006/07 promotion season was. There just seems a genuine excitement brewing, there are a lot more young people attending, big groups of them at away games, there appears to be a sense of expectancy and a release of some long forgotten spirit among the fans and it also appears some of us old gits are experiencing it too UTG !

I didn't think they were better than us this time or at Home Park, we missed golden chances to win both games and wouldn't have been flattered if we had won either game.

I thought Plymouth's midfield were superior on the day, thought our strikers were better, infact I didn't rate Brunt or Ried on that showing. Wouldn't mind their winger though
