Our next home match now been made all ticket ...expect about 2-3,000 visiting fans
Buy your tickets quickly if not a season ticket holder as likely to be a 11,000 gate.

I would hope that the club give them the standard away terrace and block of seats and no more, we have enough fans creeping out of the woodwork to ensure it stays feeling like a home game. The way argyle are going we could do without them doing a Leeds and making more noise.

Out of interest, does it bother you that certain people are coming to games again or, as you put it crawling out of the woodwork ? I ask as it's not clear in how you wrote it and it's all too easy to take things the wrong way, when there is no eye contact nor intonation of voice b i welcome those fans that are now coming again personally. If we do somehow manage to get the new ground then I would hope we have a lot more that come out of this woodwork

The away terrace holds about 1,100 and then they'll get a couple of hundred for the South Stand. Even if they had the whole of the tent it wouldn't reach 2,000. Unless you know something we don't and they've been given the North Bank The tickets are only on sale to their 'full club members' at the moment, at one per member, and won't reach general sale until 16th Jan. www.pafc.co.uk/news/article/bristol-rovers-tickets-2876249.aspx

We could and have in the past allocated the whole of the tent end as the away stand, which then gives us the opportunity to take up the whole of the terracing in the East stand(Dribuild) for home fans. I guess it will depend if we are able to persuade season ticket holders in the South Stand to relocate if we were to do that.

Can't we fit more away fans onto the terrace and stand rather than just in the stand, so what advantage is their in upsetting our own season ticket holders in the south stand by asking them to move, which would probably mean asking some of them to stand after they bought tickets for seats?

I wasn't suggesting we did give up the South Stand, I'm just saying that we have done in the past (although not very often and not that recently either). There is a maximum licensed capacity for the ground of I think 11,987, that includes the terraced area which is always left empty to separate home and away fans, so if that's not used then we never reach our full capacity. We've only ever reached our full capacity when we've given over the whole of the South Stand to the away support and then filled up all of the terracing in the East Stand with our own.

It certainly isn't something that gets to me, just talking factually, all clubs have fans who only follow winning football, of course I too welcome any extra revenue for the club even if it is being used to pay solicitors. When it comes to sharing conversation in the centenary bar pre match it's always more preferable to chat to someone who at least knows the players names rather than someone wearing a shirt with design windows on it who were missing in action when gates dwindled. Cest la vie anyway plenty more things to be concerned about in life, things that are important.

Somewhere in the back of my mind I seem to recall that season ticket holders in the South Stand only get a season ticket on the understanding that they can be relocated in exceptional circumstances.
Perhaps a South Stand season ticket holder can confirm if this is true or not.

Were'nt previous instances of reconfiguring the south stand for cup matches - not league games?

Cest la vie anyway plenty more things to be concerned about in life, things that are important. Fair enough fella, I enjoy seeing old faces and characters because I know so many, entire families of gas, that no longer come and for varying reasons but mostly because the entertainment was all but gone and, as you know, we had a team full of mercenaries who didn't really care about the shirt they wore. I have heard the reasons why they don't come many times. I would love it if those people started to come regularly again because I have missed them. Kingswood used to have a huge amount go to games, not like that now but I am seeing more reappear. I now have to go when I am well enough and so, on occasions, I am stuck indoors with the TV, forum and Twitter to get updates. On the subject of the South stand, I remember both Leeds and Southampton being given the entire stand and much of the terracing for away fans. I was pretty upset that a good amount that came for the Orient game, turned to the pub or went home when the turn styles for the West terrace and South stand were shut & we were told they were full. Me and my friend reluctantly went onto the North and could see, very easily, the West terrace was nowhere near full and then later had that confirmed by the group we stand with. I don't know what the hell the club were playing at but it saw a good amount of regulars leave, I won't name any of those I know but it was galling to see regulars not get in. I was reliably told the west was not even snug. Hoping that one day that the club get it right. I think we could have seen 10.3K. Many were still queuing to get into the north at 15:20. We had to go to the ticket office and buy a ticket for the north as they wouldn't open a cash turn style.
