I know a lot of football fans believe in jinxing and fate but I'm not one of them so if that sounds like you, close the thread now.
I know this is Rovers I'm talking about and something's bound to go wrong but I can't help but feel extra pumped-up for tomorrow as it seems we have a tremendous chance over the next three fixtures to force our way into the fabled play-off spaces.
York have lost six in a row and are without a league win since early September. Not only that but everyone around us in the table are playing each other (Leyton v Mansfield, w***y Wanderers v Stanley, Carlisle v Oxford). Win tomorrow and we should nudge our way into 7th.
w***y have their game in hand against Notts to catch up but then they have top of the league Oxford while we have Dag & Red who aren't faring too much better than York. If we can continue the away heroics on boxing day we should be well amongst the play-off contenders, as again Stanley have Carlisle and Leyton have Portsmouth so people around us will be dropping points whatever happens.

Seriously though if we can go from those two (and Chesham) to beating Wycombe (twice) and Carlisle easily enough at home I'd say that represents something of a turn around? It's not like Stevenage whomped us.

Losing seven in a row isn't easy.

Losing seven in a row isn't easy. I agree, and they have shipped a raft of goals in the last two. They will make changes to ensure scoring against them is far harder. I still hope we thrash them, I am just not wanting to predict it!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we stop being a team that ends other teams long losing runs......pretty please

I have the buzz as well for the next 3 games but beneath it rumbles the "after the Lords mayor show" syndrome.
