The spine of the team
Goalkeeper situation
Dominant midfielder required - Lines going 'missing' again
Strong striker that Matty can playoff - Easter / Harrison not the answer imo

Discuss - are there not enough posts on other threads regarding this?
Goalkeeper to change at the end of the year, striker and wide man just signed on-loan.
Leaves midfield.
If you want a discussion re midfield I would ask, Sinclair is he the solution or part of the problem.
For me he runs all day, closes down and supports. His short range passing has improved but cannot make a 'killer pass' and will not score many goals. His positioning must confuse his team mates at times as you never quite know where he may pop up next.

Hang on....so you expect him to be high-energy, break-up opposing attacks, win the ball, have good short and long-range passing ability, then stride forward to either play a 'killer' pass or slam it into the net from twenty yards? I don't think there are many in the whole of Europe that can do all those, yet alone in Div 2 !

No not what I'm really trying to say. Football should be about getting a system then the players to perform in that system. I admit he is improving his all round game but at times I just wonder if it gives others problems. We have an issue in midfield, one is no goals from there, the second it is suggested that there is no creativity. Is it possible to get one player to do all that!
It may be as simple as the team playing too deep or a change in formation, just asking is Sinclair part of the solution to midfield issue. Many have said he cannot play as the wideman of a 4. He has had a couple of stormers playing behind the front 2, but then we have no widthe, and there are continued posts saying we need width.
The original post stated we need a dominant midfield player, can such a type play alongside Sinclair?

I am beginning to think that we need another defensive midfielder which unfortunately means playing only one winger. Strange to think that the only midfielder to score from long range is Olly Clark Leadbitter should play and use his pace to compensate for only having one winger. Mildenhall Leadbitter Lockyer Macca Brown O Clark Lines Sinclair Montana Taylor Gaffney
