When we played Bliss we tended to go long ball (usually hoofball from the centre-backs) and he wasn't the greatest at hold-up play. Also he didn't seem to have a particularly good working relationship with Taylor. BUT. Recently when we've been putting decent crosses into the box (Carlisle a good example) - there's been no-one there to put the ball away. I don't think we never played with out and out wingers when he was on the pitch. Good luck to him.

....the guy did have quality. Remember the step over /dummy for our first goal against FGR in play-off second leg last year.

Whats the betting, Bliss now goes and scores 8 goals in 6 game and is MOM every match I`d imagine, about the same as Elvis Presley appearing in panto at the Hippodrome this Christmas.

The poorest centre forward I have seen in a Rovers shirt since I started watching Rovers in 1967. Hope he does well in the National League and we recoup some of the fee paid to Kidderminster. Justin Richards was worse. Much worse.

I rather think we could have used him better, his strength was running onto the ball so he didn't need to think what to do with the ball, he seemed almost incapable of controlling the ball in close situations almost as if he had no co-ordination between his feet and his brain He reminded me a little of a young John Aldridge when he first started off with Newport County who was exactly the same but was more like a cart horse Good luck Nathan where ever your career takes you

Lee and Evans played in their careers what is now the premier league, Riordan was Scotland's highest league goalscorer, Thorpe and Cameron did score league goals. Beardsley and Owusu were very poor but still believe Bliss was much worse he failed to impress in the Conference

Who cares if Riordan scored a million goals in Scotland. What about Ross Weare?

Mickey "that ****" Evans. The worst piece of business ever conducted by Bristol Rovers. Bought for £250k in Sep 2000 and sold one year later for £30k.

Mentioned above, Mickey Evans Gary Sawyer? No, Mickey Evans apparently. I was going to suggest Roger Frude, until I was told that it was Mickey Evans. But then again Roger was only born in Plymuff, so he doesn't even reach the criteria. Lucky let-off for me there I think.
