I posted this on the other forum, but for those who don't go there, I chanced upon an interesting Pathe video from 1954 which has a short piece on Rovers and their training methods under Bert Tann from 1:45 onwards. The start of our glory years.

There was sand at WSM! A steel worker as well! That Nike training string looked a bit ropey! The Kilmarnock car salesman would give Michael McIndoe a run for his money!
Imagine our lot being asked to swap Costa Coffee and the Premier Inn for a tent on the seafront at WSM!!!
