I was surprised at Ellis Harrison's reaction to the fans after scoring at Cambridge. He didn't look happy but seemed to be responding to that Twitter incident. These are my thoughts... po.st/5rISLb

Sorry. You write some good stuff, but this is ridiculous. You raise 'going to a football match' gate (dear God, please no more), criticise it as ridiculous, but then (from a a keyboard) slate him for not just ignoring keyboard warriors because, wait for it, his body language wasn't as you would expect after he scored a goal. Can't we leave the lad alone and drop the forensic analysis and criticism? When there's nothing more sensible to say, maybe the column could be replaced by a nice picture of a tree.

Indeed.
A fair few of us travelled to Hartlepool on a cold Tuesday night, in which Jermaine Easter finished off a Superb 3-0 away win. He chose to celebrate by silencing a particular Gashead with his finger to his lips, someone who had allegedly been giving him grief during the game, did we care?? Did we hell!!! Too busy going ballistic knowing we had sealed another fantastic win on the road!
We got the win on both of these occasions, all that matters IMO.

This story should be put to bed. We should treasure Ellis, not have a go because it is interpreted that he is sending out a message. Sadly the actions of a few mean a lot to players and managers, consider DC's reaction to the couple of stupid isolated incidents at the start of last season.
The best way surely is to support the player, not write an article to fill some space in a paper. It might become tomorrow's fish and chips wrapper, but not in the mind of the person being written about.

I think the point being made is that EH should realise he should be ignoring the fickle few and embrace the vast majority of (travelling) Gasheads and celebrate scoring with them. He's young and learning all the time, he'll need to heed the advice of DC and the senior pro's, I am sure he will in the future and good luck to the lad. UTG

Ridiculous article speculating on body language for a goal celebration. Hate to think what he made of the second goal! When he did the selfie celebration should he have used the crowd as a backdrop? One of the better celebrations in my view.
More interesting was the movement he made for the goal, has that been an improvement in his play? If so is it extra coaching?
Why not some 'insight' into why away results are better, and it's not just us this season.

I thought he celebrated his goal appropriately, given it was an equaliser and we still had to go on and get a winner, and he'd got a bit of undeserved stick earlier in the week. However even if he'd ripped his shirt off revealing a City shirt underneath and held up a banner proclaiming his love for them, this article still would've been a pointless piece of rubbish. Which is what it is. I look forward to the tree appearing next week unless you can think of something more interesting to write about

Didn't he do the cupped ears thing? I thought he always did that? Usually because he's had some stick from somewhere that week!

I look forward to the crap next about the reasons why he left the club for better things when he should count his lucky stars he was given a 2nd chance at Rovers

My boss lived near him and Tom Lockyer and said their lifestyles could not be more opposite. I wont say any more but you get the drift.

I think Ellis should try a Turbot next - tricky blighters with lots of oil. If you're not careful you can set fire to your kitchen. It will be character forming for a young man.
