We've all got our favourites (read some of the recent threads!) and we all see different strengths and weaknesses in different players. Some, like Matty Taylor, really divide opinion.
There would be, probably, huge variations in opinion as to who should be the first name on the teamsheet.
So who would be your first 4 on the teamsheet. I know that whether there is back-up for a position, eg LB, could influence selection, but I've ignored that and just gone for the 4 I'd stick down straight away.
- Tom Lockyer - Mr. Reliable. Is seldom MoM, but always, for me, top three. Great attitude
- Stuart Sinclair - Duracell Bunny. In many ways like Stuart Campbell, with more attacking licence.
- Daniel Leadbitter - Gives total commitment and something we have lacked - pace. Getting better and better.
- Chris Lines - possibly a contentious one, but he's got that extra something which can turn a game if he's at his best. His set-pieces often cause problems.
Well ?............................

Lee Nicholls at present. Previously Aaron Chapman, Steve Mildenhall and Will Puddy.

Interesting post, pirate!
My first would be Lee Brown. Main reason because we have no credible left back and the guy is top man for sticking with us when relegated.
Second would be Locks. Simply impressive given his age and is mature beyond his years. Great to see him being played in natural position.
Third, McCrystal. Stalwart captain and does all things defensively with little fuss.
Fourth but certainly not least, Stu Sincs. Nuff said...brilliant ambassador off the pitch as well as on it.
Points for debate methinks.

I'm sorry I really don't see this fascination with bringing Mildenhall back into the team. He made some awful gaffes last season in the Conference as well as in the preseason friendlies. He has totally lost his ability to warrant a starting place in our side now, it's sad but we have to move on and if it wasn't for the fact he had actioned a further year on his contract and was on high wages he would have long been moved on before the season had even started.

Lockyer Brown Sinclair Taylor (defender) Good thinking about using Taylor for defence, he'll smash any loose balls that are popping around the box high and wide of the goal.
