Here is my guide to Cambridge pubs for visiting Gasheads depending on whether you are making a day of it or traveling straight from the train station to the Abbey. Ive chosen these for their choice of real ale/cider and food and for as far as I know not being home fans only. goo.gl/maps/EiF8DzLdKhnBuses are slow and often late so take a walk and stop in a few pubs on the way. From the train station to the ground is just over 30 minutes walk, city center is around 20 minutes walk. Best hide your colours in town center pubs if possible, apparently there was a fair bit of trouble by visiting Pompey fans so the pubs and police are a little edgy. I know its a Friday night game but I look forward to seeing as many of you gasheads as possible, and of course getting the 3 points!!

NLG: I think the point being made was you could well be restricted by wearing colours. Not because you should be afraid.

No problems. A pub called the Green Dragon on Water Street is only 15 minutes away and looks like you can park on the street without too much problem.

The Green Dragon isn't on my list, it's the pub closest to my house but I wasn't sure if away fans welcome, the locals can be a funny bunch at the best of times. Good luck.

I imagine Cambridge city centre will be able to comfortably able to accommodate the numbers of Rovers fans travelling for a Friday night game without too much angst.
A better reason to "hide your colours" would be the fact it is a night game at the end of October and it will be freezing.
Nice work on the pub guide though, thanks!
