Highest ticket prices are maybe understandable... but swapping the Cambridge date because of the Rugby World Cup final is nonsense... My Post blog bit.ly/1js24ix

It just goes to show how out of touch a lot of our board are with the fans, if they had to put up with half the crap as we fans do getting to games they wouldn't have agreed to a Friday night request, but rather a early afternoon start as you suggested. Let's hope, if we are taken over, the new owners are a little more savvy and more in touch with the average Joe and Joanne on the streets than the current lot?!

Would seem to make complete sense to change to a 12:30 KO on Saturday rather than a Friday evening. Common sense and football in the same sentence - that doesn't happen often. But I would disagree with the statement "It’s not as if the majority of football fans give two hoots about rugby anyway". I'll definitely be watching the RWC Final and most football fans I know will be doing the same. I'll be in the small away support at the Abbey regardless. Only 30 minutes up the M11 for me :-)

If the Cambridge game kicked off at 3pm do you imagine Rovers' away support would have been greatly affected by a Rugby World Cup final which didn't include England in it. I like rugby but if I had the choice I would still be going to the Abbey Stadium to roar on DC's men and I think plenty of others would too.

It would be interesting to know WHO AT ROVERS agreed to the change? Boardroom or Management.

But as you say - it wouldn't have taken a genius to see that allowing an early Saturday afternoon KO would allow fans to watch the Rovers game and then also find a pub to watch the rugby.

Personally home or away I'd have been watching the RWC final so wouldn't have watched any game of football at 3pm

I think rugby world cup finals should always be played at 7am so this sort of thing doesn't happen. It worked fine in 2003.

Yes, I remember watching it with a nice cup of coffee in the pub I remember watching it with several pints of beer in the pub. I think he had a special licence for the occasion! It was the start of a 24 hour session that also took in Lincoln away.

It suits the board members whom run the clubs.
Blox to fans, I'm afraid.
But then.....you didn't expect anything different, did you?
