BBC's stats need to be treated with caution.
On Breakfast TV, they've just announced that Kidderminster Harriers have the most expensive pie.
That might be true, but Kiddy's catering is famous for high-quality cottage pie - not the cardboard and paste you get at other grounds.
For Rovers, there's also a note in the survey that the club "also offers early-bird prices on season tickets and match day prices". Surely that should be factored into the survey?

HTV also reported that a rovers season ticket was the most expensive in the area at £540, I have never paid more than £270. Guess the £540 was for box 1

Thing is that they took the prices, like for like, the club don't really do anything to attract new support, have left the ground to rot and have put prices on food up while the quality of the pies has gone down badly. You can rationalise all you like but those that run th club have left a lot to be desired. For what it's worth, I would t even pay the half price for the pies, that are sold after the game. Kidderminster away showed me how it could be done. That was really good food and a great choice plus the prices were superb. Put it this way, if I were a young teenager, I wouldn't be going to Rovers. It's those of us that have put in a lifetime of support, that are paying the money. When you get flakes of rust snowing down on you then you can see the reality of how the place has been left, to rot.

They could have compared the superb fodder at Aggborough (it's been excellent there for many years) to our ''Meal Deal'', which is more expensive and includes I think is an awful pie or pasty with a rock hard crust, a drink and a packet of crisps or chocolate bar.

That crust is just the pits. As I said, I wouldn't have one at half the price & I would only attempt one if I genuinely had no other choice and was in the verge of starvation. I used to really enjoy a chicken Balti pie, prior to the change of suppliers. I didn't even mind getting into a mess eating it

I went in one of the posh boxes once. The food was pie, and it was great, as was the rest of the catering

Hey look on the bright side, the crust can be used as a hat to protect head on way home from sleet/snow /rain.
Have to say I've not had much to complain about the quality of pies/pasties on sale but everyone has the right to not like it.
There are many eating venues to choose from nearby..

What's always amazed me about the pie debate is why people can't last 90 minutes without eating. Do you all make regular trips to the fridge throughout the night?

Guess the £540 was for box 1 If the survey compared like for like, as so many clubs don't have terracing then aren't it prices naturally inflated because we don't have the "cheap" seats that most other teams can offer?
