Phewwwwwww!
Going into match with three ever presents is bad enough let alone versus top of table team.
And one I wanna see us beat so much!
Couldn't we have started the match and then called it off if we were losing with that excuse?
Only fair, innit.. ?!

It's also left a football free Saturday again. A little bit of a quandary..
With local non league in fa cup qualifying, most of the major teams locally (Bath City, Gloucester, Chippenham & WSM) are all away! I've not looked at lower fixtures, sorry, with all due respect to BMF, Steve Yate Town, Bris, Mighty Mangoes etc.
So the closest fixture seems to be FGR. As I'm morally adverse to helping to fund an open prison and what very well may be next seasons' closest derby match, I'm forced to look elsewhere.
Yeovile? Print that, ginger to$$er, no thanks.
Next nearest.....Swindle? I don't have requisite fingers to pass as a local.
So it looks like a football free Saturday? Help! Any suggestions gratefully received......but don't mention the rugby. I mentioned it once and I think I got away with it!?

It's a bugger having a team crammed full of internationals In the history of BRFC, has this ever happened before? Serious question.

I remember in 80s we had a few welsh internationals in Mark Hughes, Neil Slatter era, with ex England Alan Ball, Mick Cannon and Gerry Francis, but don't think they were all in same team, same time..

Western League teams home on Non-League Day: Keynsham, Longwell Green, Hengrove. Portishead, Bitton, Bristol Manor Farm, Cribbs, Odd Down, Welton Rovers. I've also heard of a Western League Groundhopers Day set up for the following week 17/10/15, when we're away to Mansfield. I can't find any links to it, so if anyone knows of further details I'd be grateful. From what I can find out: 11.00am Bitton v Street. 1.45pm Oldland v Ashton & Backwell. 7.45pm Keynsham v Westbury. There are a number of games between the Oldland and Keynsham matches but most k.o. at 3pm. It's a shame (for those football masochists who'd like to watch 4 games in a day!) that Longwell Green v Brislington aren't kicking off at 3.30pm or a bit later. 4.30pm is Cadbury Heath v Cribbs, so perhaps that's the 3rd of 4 games?

Yate Town vs Bashley 3pm kick off. Division 1 South and West (wherever that is in the pyramid). Yate is solid Rovers. Phil Purnell and Ian Alexander both connected to the Club. Bashley - played 10 lost 10. Goals for 5 Goals against 51. Sounds like a plan...

I know a Norwich supporter from London who's doing the Western League hop.

Found a bit more about the Western League Groundhop. It's actually the full weekend, which takes in Corsham Town on the Friday and Chipping Sodbury on the Sunday. Cadbury Heath is the 3rd of the 4 on the Saturday. Link here, which has a link to a pdf with more info.: www.granddaysoutnetwork.co.uk/footballweekends.html

It was the right decision-but for crying outloud!
I'd planned to be in Bristol for the Oxford game - shifted to Sunday for TV so I couldn't make it. Planned to go to Morecambe one of the only North West away games this year - work came up at the last minute so I couldn't go. Am in Bristol next weekend, was going to go to Wycombe. Called for us having too many internationals of all reasons!
This has been an utterly s**t football season so far!

I stuck something on their forum so will provide updates if they post anything.

Ah, a good old-fashioned football fan. I wonder if Sheikh Wotsit of Man Citeh has ever met one? If weather's good, personally i'd start at the Swan in Swineford, then the Upton, then the Hollybush, then the Lock Keeper. Not that I'd usually last that long. That's not everyone's taste, i'll admit

Easy to navigate with rail and bus....why not help out a local club with a few quid if few hours spare?
