Morecambe have allocated Gasheads around 300 seats for the game on Saturday costing £21!
Usually they allocate away supporters a terrace that holds 1,400 but apparently not for us. I can see it being a bit of a squeeze.

When we were at Morecambe on Saturday 14th December 2013, there were 203 Gasheads in a total crowd of 1,514. We lost (unluckily) 2:1. All away fans were in the stand.
The previous season, 330 Gasheads in a total crowd of 1,736 saw the 1:1 draw on Saturday 23rd February 2013.
I can't find the away number for the 3:2 Rovers win on Saturday 24th September 2011, but the total crowd was 2,583. Away fans were allowed behind the goal and in the stand. From memory, the away terrace was quite well populated and there were also a fair few in the stand; at least 400 Gas that day, I would have thought.
My prediction for Saturday: 350 Rovers fans.

....& £21 is steep for a L2 kick about. Paid £14 for a Yeovil ticket I recall.

£21 is expensive for League Two football until you consider we charge some fans £23 to sit in a tent.

This weekend I think there is a national campaign by the Football Supporters Federation, 20's Plenty, aimed at the Premier league to keep away prices to £20 orless!

I still find it hard to get over there even being a category A game in L2. I would think it an oxymoron and. Pompey apart, I haven't seen a big Police presence.

There was a police officer at Hartlepool with a video camera, not entirely sure what they were expecting that night!

The attendance at today's game was 1,712, but the Globe Arena holds 6,476. So does anyone know how many fans we took today?
But in any event, they all presumably got in to watch the game in comfort.

I can see it being a bit of a squeeze. I had to pay 20 quid to stand v Pompey - that's a rip off !! But there again standing to sitting prices are too high in all divisions. The bubble will burst soon.

I think admission prices are to expensive at football in England,I am pretty sure that puts off the people who might just go and watch the occasional game, only the committed supporters go now and like drinkers and smokers they somehow find the money. I don't usually eat at matches because I don't eat junk food,I do very occasionally have a pie if they look ok,the one I had at Morecambe was alright but £3.60 ! a bit pricey, and I heard a few people say the same. I suppose going to an away game is quite expensive,a lot of people make a day (or weekend) away out of it,but when you look at the average age of supporters (not just Rovers) it does make you wonder about the future, lots of people think that football is a game to watch on TV in the pub or at home and they wouldn't dream of actually going to a game. A steward told us that Rovers had 386 there yesterday, which I think is good for a 4th division (how I still regard it) match that far away. Is there a website that says how many away fans are at matches ?,be interesting to see what percentage of clubs home support travel away,Rovers is probably pretty good.

There were nearer 400 Gas as some were in their end.
Luton took just under 300 to Morecambe, when they were in league 5 they were taking huge support away, where are they now?
Brilliant vocal support, loud and varied songs, "Morecambe is burning down" made me laugh!
