From the club's website . . .
Best of luck to her, I think that she could well be a very busy lady.

This will really shake-up the established order at the club, and is in no way a pointless box-ticking exercise.

Clare is lovely, but I have to agree with Astafjevs above. Rebranding of shop front staff to "Liason Officer" nothing more.

So is there no point in asking Masters to address all of our concerns any more?

Nice lady but what will be different? Are there additional responsibilities? Job description and role? Looks like a 'box ticked' exercise with no real significance. If people ain't listening now they ain't going to listen now we've got one of these!

I hope it means a pay rise for Clare. She's been doing the job (extremely well) for years. I'd like to think this is less box ticking and more recognition. The cynic in me says it's more along the lines of buck passing.

I spoke to her on the phone about season tickets going up in the family end. She didn't even know they had gone up. Being a bit pissed off about it I said I was gonna think a bit more about getting one. She just said ok bye then and put the phone down. A mate is still waiting for a call back from 3 separate occasions. She does fit in up though she's bloody useless in my opinion.

I think "OK bye then" is what I'd have said too. What should she have said?

I think "OK bye then" is what I'd have said too. What should she have said? I would have hoped for some sort of sales pitch, rather than accepting lost custom so easily. I've only dealt with Clare once, and it was a positive experience.

Bye then. Could sound OK. I know what it sounds like when someone doesn't give a toss

Every time she has served me in the shop she has been polite and professional. In fact, I've never had a problem with any of the Pirate Leisure staff.

Leadership from the top though.... If the person in the shop doesnt know about prices going up there are only two reasons. They either dont pay attention or no one has told them. I know which one i would think it was

So is Clare basically a PCSO? Has.the authority to report crime but not make any arrests? And is it that our head of PR has now delegated PR duties to another member of staff? I don't get it.

Have to say in all my dealings with Clare, I have had nothing but a brilliant service. Even when I've been in the wrong, she has taken time out to explain it to me and clarify.
Lovely lady. And a bit hot without any conceit..

I would say she works hard and is very professional. She is busy with many phone calls many of which are totally un necessary as most of the info is on the official website eg is the Portsmouth game all ticket etc

I posted about this some time ago. When I found we should have an SLO about a year ago, I spoke briefly to Clare who was unaware she was it and very busy, which she is. www.fsf.org.uk/slo/ I have been in contact with the FSF off and on, and having an SLO is a requirement of the Football League and I believe UEFA, here is their last email: Hi,
I spoke to the FL about this and, to their credit, they have spoken to Bristol Rovers and seems the club will up their game on this.
The FL told me they "have spoken with the club regarding SLO requirements. They have confirmed Clare’s commitment to the role, alongside juggling her Ticket Office responsibilities, and the club is looking to create some further publicity/transparency for it, including setting up an SLO twitter feed and promoting the SLO role/work across other platforms, such as matchday programme etc, which all sounds positive."
Obviously it'd have been preferable of Clare knew she was SLO from the start, but this seems a more positive direction. Let me know if they follow up on those actions.
So it's well done the club, but also the FSF and FL. What difference it will make? We'll have to wait and see. At least there is a conduit and if nothing happens (not necessarily by Clare) then there is a link back to the Football League.

Can I be really dim and ask what this role even is?
