Really.
There were the usual internet trolls who kicked up a fuss on some forums, but openly admitted that they were NOT members of BRSC and had no intention of joining.
There was no animosity to Rod at the AGM, everyone listened to what he had to say and then voted. The overwhelming majority of BRSC members who voted, sent their votes by post and could only decide on what each candidate said in their printed speeches.
As I have said many times before, the overwhelming majority of fans do not bother to read the postings on forums so the comments on here and elsewhere have very little influence.
Thanks for clarifying and on making a couple of things clearer. I was under the impression that Rod was given an hard time. I'm not sure about abuse but he was given a lack of support by most people on here who complain about the current supporters directors.

As I have stated earlier the SC does not seem to have abided by its own constitution with regards to the advertising of the post of Fans' director. It could be extremely embarrassed whenever the AGM is held by the chair not only having to explain the present cock-up but also why due procedures were not followed for this election. It is NOT a re-election! KM's term of office has come to an end.

Why does Higgs not have a spare date in his diary for 7 weeks? That's a reasonable question that deserves a straight answer.

Is anyone allowed to attend? If not will people be told? If not will people be called liars despite attending? Chewbacca - you are referring to the BRFC AGM and the answer I gave to a question about attending.
At the time I was under the impression that anyone could attend the Q & A after the meeting, but TW refused to allow anyone into the Q & A after the AGM. I apologised at the time if I misled anyone.
As regards the BRSC AGM, I asked the BRSC Chairman if non BRSC members could attend the Q & A after the AGM and regretfully I have not received a reply so cannot confirm the position regarding the upcoming AGM.

On what grounds are you basing that statement? Please read the first page of this thread. It what you say is correct, I'm sure someone will raise this point at the AGM.

I stand to be corrected, but it seems as though noone else has gone through this procedure so I think your point is moot. "It is NOT a re-election! KM's term of office has come to an end" - not quite sure what the difference is in this respect. Ken's 3 years have come to an end and I assume that he is standing again for the post. As I say, I stand to be corrected.

If you see Brian Seymour-Smith why not ask him, he's pretty approachable about such things. I assume if there is a Q&A after the AGM they'll want to make sure there is sufficient space for those wanting to attend and to provide adequate security on the night

I will be there so it's up to others who want to know, to follow this up.

What's it got to do with him? It's a BRSC meeting and he's nothing to do with BRSC (unless BRSC is a wholly cowed subsidiary of the club). Did the BRSC officials just sit there and gaze as he took control of their meeting? What earthly reason could BRSC - or the club - have for turning people away (other than capacity problems and safety concerns)? Was any reason given for excluding anyone who cared enough to turn up? This lot are endlessly bizarre.

The BRSC website now says that the upcoming Q & A is open to BRSC members who can produce their membership cards.
If non BRFC Shareholders or non BRSC supporters want a Q & A with NH, they will have to chase him up on his previous promises to hold these on a regular basis.
My opinion is that will not happen any time soon and probably not before the Appeal is heard, whenever that is finally arranged.

Ah, and yes, I see now that you said that. My mistake. Neck wound back in.

£10 for Supporters club membership and you can go to the meeting, get preference on ticket sales and if you really want to, for a small price sit on a coach to Accrington next to someone you don't know. Bargain! bristolroverssc.co.uk/membership/joining-forms/

This lot are endlessly bizarre. Let's be straight on this, Nick Higgs has shown nothing but utter contempt for the clubs finest asset, its supporters, he totally disengaged from us & has been very circuitous in what little he has said. His reference to the Internet warriors and groups that have held meetings have been derisory & so it can't really be a shock to anyone that he chooses not to give information or engage with us, that is, until we get one of the ghost written chairmans updates & the clarion call to arms, to get the mem rocking. I don't even bother reading them as you don't have to be mystic meg, to know what is, or rather, what isn't going to be said. I try, very hard, not to allow myself to get wound up about it but the arrogance of the man & the way he manipulates certain people does anger me. The attempt to discredit the wellie group was spiteful and caused a lot of ill feeling. I don't think he has a base level. We are never going to be involved or told anything, not while he holds the cards. I really hope this consortium do go public soon. I firmly do believe in its existence though. When club insiders say that nothing good will happen, with Higgs in charge, I think that says a lot. Personally, I don't expect ANY Q&A to happen again.

Hope springs eternal that this farce will not go on much longer.
I have a dream that by the time of the rearranged BRSC AGM there will be a change of individuals on the top table.
I'll now go and lie down in a darken room.
