We are skint and massively understaffed. We layed a lot of people off on relegation to the conference and haven't restaffed these positions is my understanding. The staff we do have are good & honest, but from what I have witnessed not forward thinking or really in tune with the 21st century way of running a football club. At all levels. I am not just talking about the boardroom. The chap who came in to run the social media aspect of the club has done a good job, but can only work with the information and tools at his disposal. Doug reads this forum too ! His words, " I am not a spokesperson for the club"

My point is when staff posts were being reviewed and cut, a need for PR was established and so a post was filled.
One would expect the quantity and quality of information released to improve. Also initiatives to establish links with fans would be enhanced, though Twitter is better. I am not for a minute chucking pelters at the PR guy, I would not touch the job with barge pole, and I am aware that what comes from behind the iron curtain is closely restricted. This is a well trodden theme sadly and best left.
