I would not wish an injury on any footballer, but the way Daniel L was playing, I thought he may get snapped up by the end of the transfer window. Hopefully a week or two out and then with us for the rest of the season, well January at least!

What a bizarre thread.
Any one of our lads could be snapped up by Real Madrid the way we have played the last two weeks!

Did have the same thought, not that he would be snapped up by Real Madrid he is far too good for them, but watch Leadbitter yesterday was so refreshing, his pace, skill and delivery occasionally had me thinkng it wont be long until someone is watching him. Hopefully he isn't out too long, cant to see him in the quarters again.

Leads has had a cracking start to the season and hopefully his injury won't derail that. But a transfer? Give over! He's played less than 20 games in the Football League, none above the fourth tier. I can't imagine any of our players are being watched by anyone other than our forthcoming opponents, with perhaps the exception of our current top scorer.

Tyrone Mings made a dramatic assent to top tier football, I hope Leadbitter can achieve progression with or through Bristol Rovers. When is his contract up?

After 4 games I can't imagine there would be that many scouts watching TL/clubs prepared to make an offer, Brown's been impressive for a couple of seasons but hasn't attracted any offers?
Wasn't it Michael Owen who was never the same player after he did his hamstring?

Like 1973 said, scar tissue builds up around the injury, and scar tissue won`t stretch like the original muscle would. A hamstring tear is always likely to be an ongoing cause for concern.

Blessing in disguise? Never.
I think that you may be over-thinking the situation.

Michael Owen blamed poor rehabilitation of a hamstring injury for his 'injury prone' future career ... 'My body made me pay for pushing it to the limit too often. My hamstring snapped in two and it was at that point that my ability to perform unimpeded was finished," Owen said said. "It didn't have to be that way. My rehabilitation was compromised due to our physio leaving the club that summer and not being replaced until the following season and with no regular medical care during such a critical time, a routine injury was destined to restrict me for the rest of my career'.

Is there any news anywhere about his injury?
We got the usual "see how it settles" comment, but nothing more from the club that I can see re scans etc or even "it'll be assessed later this week".

The club are pretty cagey with injury news these days, we tend not to get too many specifics.
Wouldn't surprise me if we get radio silence on this injury for a while yet.

Sometimes there may well be a reason to hide the fitness of a player from another club, but in reality with the number of subs allowed formations and tactics can be quickly changed should the anticipated 'threat' not appear.
The club constantly says what great fans we are and the difference we can make, but also constantly fails to realise the passion we have makes us news-hungry. I know nothing new here, but even a quick "going for a scan" would be something. What we need is a PR person, oh I keep forgetting we have appointed one.

We are skint and massively understaffed. We layed a lot of people off on relegation to the conference and haven't restaffed these positions is my understanding.
The staff we do have are good & honest, but from what I have witnessed not forward thinking or really in tune with the 21st century way of running a football club. At all levels. I am not just talking about the boardroom.
The chap who came in to run the social media aspect of the club has done a good job, but can only work with the information and tools at his disposal.
