I thought he had his best game v Barnet. Fantastic corner routine assist for first, bursting run into box for another.
But.....he hasn't played to his full potential yet, imo. It's a great team performance last four matches, that balance and equilibrium is there.
It's just...... Lines contributions aren't the same as they were at tail end of last season.

You could say the same for Tom Parkes, even Taylor & Easter why not start threads on them? Are you the other forums JoeB in disguise?

You could say the same for Tom Parkes, even Taylor & Easter why not start threads on them? Are you the other forums JoeB in disguise? Firstly, I'm not on any other forum. Secondly, I think Taylor (whom gets too much stick) has played some wonderful football in multiples of games, but everyone remembers the glaring miss v Cobblers. Thirdly, Parkes was simply fantastic yesterday with Locks and Clarke. I hardly noticed him, which is brilliant for a defender as I hardly noticed McClean/AkindePen. Fourthly, I did question Easter's fitness previous thread. Fifthly, no one has started a credible thread on this forum after we have played a couple of home, couple away about Lines. I think it's a valid post, credible and balanced in it's merits. Of course, you are free to disagree, that's your or anyone's prerogative. It's also your prerogative to be childish by not addressing the point of Lines, rather distract by claiming it could be other players too.

Am I the only one who thought Lee Brown looked surprised at the 'training ground' corner routine?
Surprised no-one has started an ollie Clarke thread who was head and shoulders the best player on the pitch yesterday. If he grows a beard he may have a chance of being motm.

I think we're going to have a really good season, we've got competition for places, one or two coming in, like Lines did last season, and a strong mentality about the squad, Taylor and Easter off the mark, Mansell set to return and star performers like Lines beginning to move up a gear, big test this Saturday and if we can remain unbeaten when we come back from London next Saturday then I feel it will set us off on a long unbeaten run to the top of the table. My marks out of ten: ON THE PITCH: 8.5 OFF THE PITCH:3 For what it's worth of course!!!

Lines had his best game of the season so far yesterday and there is clearly more to come from him. Nothing to worry about!

Just a guess but I think Linesy is carrying a slight injury

Ollie clarkes win you the midfield. Lines is there to provide that bit of quality to create goals and did that twice.
Even so, Ollie c is my motm and although he had a good game I thought Sinclair was not an obvious choice.
Easter said on his interview he is only 65% match fit. He's doing well for 65%

In all honesty he's doing fine. Not setting the world alight but we're certainly not carrying him. Last season he was technically the best player in the League and that showed, this season due to playing in a three he won't have as much room to pull the strings. He showed great maturity on Saturday marshaling two young and reasonably inexperienced players and let's not forget got two assists. I'm sure Chris will be the first to admit he's not firing on all cylinders but I don't think the rest of the squad are either.
Give it a month or two when everything has settled down and make judgments then. So far this season I think as a whole the team has been 7/10. Room for improvement everywhere.

Why all this constant bitching about Linesy ?, all the boys are doing well, 9 points from the last three games, whats not too like ? IMO Linsey is tremendous. Two assists Saturday. Get off his back. What a great last week or so to be a Gashead. The lads have been magnificent. There seems a great spirit, lots of hard work and no lack of quality (which I had feared). Four or five lads playing their first proper Football League season, four lads we have produced ourselves and some great Summer signings. What's not to like?
Personally think Linsey has been a revelation since returning to Bristol, far better than I had expected, even hoped. Maturity, quality, that little bit extra.
