Did we get any money of the football league for being a promoted team to league 2 ?
If so, how much is it worth ?
With DC having his playing budget slashed, could the savings from this + any payments from FL + residual Lambert Payments go towards pay of the "Wonga" deal ?

When did DC say his budget has been slashed? It was last year but not sure it has this year?

I suspect that he used this season's budget towards the end of last year by bringing in Lines and Easter. Wonder if he asked after Disley? Whould have plugged a gap in the squad last Saturday.

I can't see his budget was slashed just not increased back up to our previous Div 2, as otherwise surely players like Parkes would have already jumped ship?
Relegation was said to have cost us £1m in FL money, I assume that what we'll go get back, plus there's the Play Off and Wembley money, not really sure there's much left to receive from the Lambert deal this season? Even with the increased FL money the club will do well to breakeven, when we usually lose a £1m, let alone find £3m extra to pay off the Wonga loan?

When did DC say his budget has been slashed? It was last year but not sure it has this year? he was asked on the radio during the week whether he would be bringing in any players between then and the Yeovil game?, he replied no he didn't think so.....although we have brought in a keeper! he was then asked whether he had plans to bring any new players in, in the near future? to which he repilied " have you got any money?" and then kind of laughed it off and made a joke of it! but saying that, the last I heard was he wanted to bring in some experience from leagues 1 and 2??? so im guessing he wants to look at loaning a player or two?? but you can bet his budget is very tight....? it seems the club are trying to tighten the purse strings, as everything has gone up in price...(including our debts)...

Residual Lambert money? For what exactly? Cast your mind back to when the deal was done, Southampton kept all the money from Liverpool as expenses and we would be paid from the Money paid the following season which is this season... Plus with Liverpool moving lambert on they have to pay up all the extras in the contract even if they are not due... I remember Sir Nick Talking about it when asked about it on the Radio

I think that between Conference and L2 and between L2 and L1, players who get you promoted are entitled to a chance to show you what they can do at the next level, so wouldn't read too much into the core of the squad being the same as last year. Trollope did OK in L1 with his promotion squad. But there's no room for sentiment, if any of them show that they aren't up to it then they'll have to be thanked for what they've done and let go.
