Take the 'i' out of the first letter of the title, to form a commonly held adjective of the subject.

I'm not on twitter, but if people feel this article is nonsensical, irrational, ridiculous, delusional, illogical, groundless and somewhat asinine, which, by the way, it is, then @tombarclay is the address for your tweets.

Geoff Dunford @geoffdunford 7h7 hours ago The article in The Sun made me smile. Pity they didn't ask about the lack of investment which relegated us. We lost 500k in revenue #UTG So let me see, GoD brings him to the club as he worked for his companies, surely GoD could ask him that himself.....

I think it's a rhetorical question. GD is suggesting that the BOD should have given JW, DC or both, more money to improve the squad before we were relegated. I bet NH loves all the flak Watola gets. It's a bit like bitch slapping my bank manager for letting me go overdrawn. But no, he has the word Finance in his job title so if our finances are shot, it's got to be his fault.

Getting "a fair bit of criticism" from Rovers' fans. Guy looks like a work experience Year 10.

Here we go again. It makes sense and it's factual. We were relegated, we we weren't expecting to be relegated and the club reacted accordingly. Some are suggesting that rather than build "a fully costed, sensible and sustainable business model" (blah, blah, blah) the BOD should have spent even more money to make sure we stayed up. Cant wait for the next chairman's report.

Just shows how sh*t are fans are if we prepared to criticise one of our own to a National public Rag. I can see the next headline now... Gasheads Slam the club over lack of investment.... Good way to attract more investment... NOT

No need to turn on the fans for criticism of TW. It's interesting how polarised things have become from with so many wanting the board out to TW being 'one of our own' and whatever Box 1 does it's OK.
The article does not cover what took us to the place where being relegated only became an option for a few minutes; I recall the Q&A was staggered by TW's statement as there was no Plan B.
Merchandising has always been a nightmare.
If we are better now, then why didn't management reviews spot that before and make changes and streamline things that's how businesses work? TW did not save the club, DC and the players did, which came at the end of the article, but we must remember that TW is but a servant of the board.
No one is going to invest in a club stuck in a court wrangle and a Wonga loan.

To be fair he doesn't understand and I doubt Watola was going to tell him, well I don't do any financial planning and didn't know anything about what relegation would cost.
on one side it's good Rovers have got themselves in the paper, just that most of us know it's only part of the story

If the journalist wanted to cover what went before then he would have asked the appropriate questions. What we have here is an article on how the club coped with a catastrophic event, it's the OP who called Watola a saviour not the newspaper. Of course, while its mathematically possible, any self respecting bean counter should have a budget for promotion and relegation as well as the status quo factoring in variables such as inclement weather, poor performances and conflicting events that may impact on gate receipts. The club should hold sufficient stock and carry enough clout with suppliers to ensure that 20,000 additional items can be made available at very short notice once a decade. Had there been a Plan B for relegation, I suspect it would have made detailed provision for um ... exactly what actually happened. Cut costs, trim the squad, sack people and borrow more money. And for the record, I'm not defending anyone, the BOD have repeatedly failed. I'm just bored of people stating the obvious and repeating the same old cliched bollocks. You need to have stability on the field to get stability off it. Very few have the patience to do it the other way round.

Good way to attract more investment... NOT When was Twatola ever one of our own? - He is a Coventry supporter first and got the well paid job through the back door (via GOD). As 'financial director'? he should have prepared for all eventualities but the Club was left in limbo after relegation and HE should have been the first out the door. As for attracting investment - that too is the job of a financial diretor - failed miserably there hasn't he?
