as long as a rovers player is trying his best thats good enough for me to applaud them,,,blissett taylor beardsley parkes lockyer leadbitter hinton lescot ollie clarke,. i dont mind constructive critical opinion on any player but i hate it when our fans give very honest players a hard time,in fact i despise those fans, you know the ones that applaud when taylor is subbed or jeer when blissett dosnt control a long pass. i wish they would f*** off to the city ground where they have always done that type of s***

Well I agree with the first half of your thread but not the second half of it

Well I agree with the first half of your thread but not the second half of it A bit of composure occasionally would be nice along with the radical tactic of introducing the ball to the pitch and not the atmosphere all the time.

Although I was disappointed that we showed very little skill on Saturday, and that our manager made things easier for Northampton by playing several of our players out of position, you had to respect the effort that all the players put in.

I can't agree I'm afraid. Anyone can run around a lot and puff and pant. Doesn't mean they should be in a league football team.

I have always realised that our players by being in the fourth tier would not be very good. I agree that players who try their best are to be appreciated. Bottom line though is these players are doing a job and should be fairly competent; it would be too easy and simplistic to say, "compare yourself in your workplace not producing the goods and how your bosses or workmates would feel."

First game last season - ball played on the pitch and pass and move - this season first game - ball in the air and pass and stay

If that's their everything I really am worried!! And...why water the pitch with the sprinklers when the ball is going to spend as much time in the air as a hot air balloon at the Fiesta?!

We should not be jeering and dishing out grief to honest, hardworking players. Whether they are l2 standard is down to other people not the player giving his all.

Agree with the OP. And booing at the end of the game? Incredible.

There are many who think because they've handed over their money and don't see the free flowing type of football produced by Real Madrid are entitled to voice their displeasure because they think that will encourage the players to perform better the next time ?

We all support the same team, and we should all be positive and united together. We have to stick together. The next person who boos, should get a good kicking from the fans around him.

Booing a team just promoted after the first game is clearly nonsensical, we are 17th after all.
