I was on the Eastland terrace and didn't hear anything derogatory, apart from some ironic cheers when she came on. She smiled the first time she came off.
If she has been to football, she would understand the base humour of football fans. Most of it is puerile / pathetic.
If you are so keen to interfene and cut things out that are not very nice, why didn't you jump into the Eastland Terrace last night, with your orange jacket on, and reprimand those who routinely shout obscenties at all and sundry when families are present?
When she came on for Montana, we were joking about "his fragility", not about her.
Let's not turn this into a martydom thread. If you want a real story, then look up what happened at Chelsea on the weekend.

Well done Medicalgas. Apologies for all the wrongs that this Forum have inflicted on both you and Jo with their warped sense of humour.
The thread "New Physio" certainly proved too hot to handle for our Mods (who are also volunteers) and as you must know as an emergency medical technician, prevention is often better than cure.
If I hear anyone in the crowd shout out again "Sit down you vultures" when such technicians stand up to stretcher off one of our players, I will approach the nearest steward, make sure I understand their real job function behind the orange jacket, before asking them to intervene to reprimand such ignorant people and remind them not to take the micky.
Then at least some good has come out of this sorry episode. Overall, this Forum has learnt a valuable lesson in sensitivity. Gasheads Forum 1 Jose 0.
Meanwhile the comments of Clockendgas above on Eva Cairnero remind me of a gag from the 70s sitcom "On the Buses". I'm sure Reg Varney uttered the line with Blakey (sadly the actor (Stephen Lewis) passed away today) looking on disapprovingly. I would ask the Mods to delete it from this thread in the interests of poor taste or as one in the eye for outdated British humour.

Oops It's soooo tempting but seeing as the mods are feeling delicate I will let this one pass. Dr Faustus would have had a field day.

I hope that the club will acknowledge Jo's contribution at the next home game. Too often people are cast aside and forgotten by the club once they have served their purpose.

Sounds as if it's been a pretty disastrous experience for her all round. Not just from "some so called fans". A real shame. Oh well, she'll know better than to volunteer in future.

Why? If she's watched Rovers regularly over the years hasn't she noticed the way fans treat the opposite sex in similar circumstances? I'm not condoning what fans did but it was hardly unexpected, regardless isn't it how the club and players responded to her helping out rather than a few mindless fans?
