Sports Direct in Yate are selling two Sondico footballs for £6.
I knew they made keeper gloves and shinpads but I didn't know they made balls.
I didn't buy them as I have no need for any footballs.
They're also available at £4 for one ball, but that's not so good value.

Can you still get those plastic Tango balls that used to blow away in the lightest breeze anywhere? I grew up learning how not to play football with one of those.

How does a little old Lady in Pilning get tomatoes from Alicante? I suggest they may be Pilning tomatoes and she's pulling a fast one.....bloody rogue traders.

There is a little old lady selling runner beans for a pound a bunch outside her house in Pilning. I wouldn't have thought of runner beans as being bunchable. If she's avoiding using formal weights and measures, though, for understandable reasons, I'm struggling to think what other term to use. What a conundrum.

Is that a metric or Imperial measure? If it's Imperial then I suggest a visit from Plod would be in order. Bloody Luddites !

Everyone knows that four bananas make a bunch and so do many more.
Not sure about runner beans though.

Oh that's a good one. I was thinking you have a bunch of flowers, but not a bunch of potatoes. Interestingly, I think you can have a bunch of carrots, but then in their natural state they have foliage and are formed into a bunch by use of a rubber band or some other tie, so maybe that's what makes for a bunch. Runner beans would need a large rubber band, though. Now we've got bananas, but they come naturally bunched. 'Bunch of runner beans', sounds odd, but I don't know what else you'd call a useful quantity of runner beans. If she put them in a bag, I'd be happy with 'a bag of runner beans'. Can I ask: how had this lady divided up the runner beans? I get the reference BTW: One banana, two banana, three banana, four.... Fridays.
