Blimey you couldn't make it up, NH is taking the club to near bankruptcy fighting Sainsbury's and all the time the UWE were planning their own stadium where we could be tenants, although weren't we always going to be "tenants" on their land anyway? Hopefully if the pull this off they insist NH stands down before we can move in!

What don't people understand? UWE would rather Rovers payed for the stadium. If that's not possible they may seek to build anyway. Rovers would rather have bought and payed for the stadium. Not too difficult to understand.

Couldn't they do half each? The proceeds from selling the Mem together with the UWE investment would surely be enough for half a 15,000 capacity stadium.

Not too difficult to understand. Not hard to understand, just shaking my head. We could end up being tenants to UWE paying rent. Meanwhile we sell our asset The Mem and can pay off NH and co. What facilities would this stadium have and who would get the income? Not us i would safely guess

I'm taking this with a massive pinch of salt, as I don't really see how the uni would benefit from a 15,000 stadium? A 1,500 multi usage stadium with an athletics track I could believe.

There must be a "watertight" Contract with UWE granting BRFC permission to build the stadium at UWE.
The one question to ask is, is there a stop/end date to that Contract?

Brings the publicity they were seeking from our stadium and helps them move towards being a US type sports college. Plus they now get a slice of the income we were hoping to pocket ourselves. I guess they'd also have no problem borrowing the money to finance the stadium at a reasonable bank rate, unlike us?
Meanwhile as suggested above NH sells the Mem and pays off his loans, with interest. Everybody is a winner bar BRFC who become tenants of the UWE rather than owners.

Why would they build a stadium?
Why would Rovers be interested in becoming tenants?

Well it won't be long until the planning permission lapses but to answer your last question, I bet there is and it wouldn't surprise me if it has already passed.

It wouldn't cost much to build a 15,000 capacity stadium with terracing and enough seating to meet FL standards for Leagues 1 & 2
