We have discussed ticket prices before, and the FSF 20's plenty campaign for away tickets, but looks like City fans have joined in. I have some sympathy, it's a hard thing to miss watching your own team to make a point:

39 is a lot. When it was 20 it left the average ted with £9 for extra strength cider, £5 for discount speed wrap and £4 is 2p and 1p's to chuck at "they opposition fans" from the Williams. Assholes one and all.

I dont blame them ..... afterall £39 is a massive chunk of the dole money.... barely enough left for their white cider and pot noodles

There has to come a time when enough is enough!
If Rovers announced that it was £25 to watch L2 football from the terrace there would be uproar.
I watched Rovers play Sheff Weds in their end in the 90's because there was a big difference in cost for home & away fans! Something they still try & get away with!
If gates are down in the first three matches then perhaps the price will drop!
Good luck to them & it's made the bbc & Talksport, so will have some impact!

All the 'City' fans I know always have an excuse why they don't actually go, in fairness though none of their excuses usually make it onto the BBC

How much are the home tickets for Wednesday? Surely just go in the home end if its a more reasonable price, that way you make a point by having an empty away end, but still get to see the match.

... and get thrown out in the first ten minutes.
Am I right in saying you can't charge more for away supporters than for an equivalent home stand?

Trouble in paradise? And the season hasn't even started yet. But perhaps one of the Lansdowne clan will step in and sort out the problem . . . probably by buying it.

Have to say that I support the complaint against excessive ticket pricing. There were moans on here about £2 more for CAT A (!) games at the Mem, but the SWFC site reveals no less than EIGHT different pricing categories for their games, which I really cannot see the logic for. Pretty sure that home fan's are facing the same prices, but there is a £5 Member discount - which I'd suggest is a loophole in the general rule. The FSF Twenty's Plenty scheme is laudable, but I fear that most clubs have chosen to ignore their appeal. www.fsf.org.uk/campaigns/away-fans/score-campaign-twentys-plenty-for-away-tickets/

Notable that our friends from the south have a supporters trust that works closely with their supporters club and is behind this.
The merits of trying to rekindle our supporters trust has been discussed plenty on this forum recently. Clubs with a trust instead or in addition to a supporters club seem good at organising and making a stand that is harder to ignore
