Hidden away in a story about this week's friendly with AFC Bournemouth:
Oh dear. I wonder why?

Once it's gone it's (apparently) gone it seems, sadly for him. Any updates on our other ''old boy'' Shaquille Hunter from anyone?
Is he still in deepest south Bristol, or has he been moved on again?

We have I'm afraid lost a very very talented U16 to Fulham, Isaac Pearce, who had him on trial earlier in the season. Unfortunately, again, the club fails to inform its supporters about these youngsters when they leave. The club will get some compensation for him from Fulham.

I wouldn't be surprised if he eventually surfaces for City. At the JPT final I think he was one of the suited 'squad' players milling around at the final whistle.

They're using him to pad out their development side. If he makes the first team there it means they've had a serious change in their fortunes, I reckon.

Shaqs is a gifted footballer - unfortunately his head wasn't in the right place and he was very immature. You'd hope, for his sake, he'd mature and then his fantastic ability should flourish. At the time, I'm not surprised Rovers let him go - an absolute loose cannon.

At the time, I'm not surprised Rovers let him go - an absolute loose cannon. There's a difference between "being immature at a time" and "being a loose cannon". I believe Shaquille was put under a lot of pressure at a young age - happens all the time, as much as I think it's absolutely wrong to bombard youngsters who can't even drive a car in most countries with grown men expectations - and it resulted on him reacting very poorly to it by doing the things he did. However, maybe due to him playing at a (much) lower level and getting away from the spotlights a bit, he didn't protagonize any more scandals and seems to be working his way back to regular football, which I hope is a sign of maturing, because if he was playing at the EPL and did what he did here, no matter whose fault it was, he probably wouldn't be even playing football anymore. Young people make mistakes and should be put in their place for it, such as happened to Harrison, but sometimes their downfall gets even bigger because of media and people's negativity spraying onto the player. There are loose cannons out there playing football for sure, but some of them are just lads responding very badly to (mostly) unnecessary pressure. All the best for Shaqs in the future. PS: I wonder how he would be if DC was our manager at the time and he did to Hunter what he did to Harrison? Can't say for sure that it'd work on him, but still I wonder.

But the question should surely be: "Lamar Powell - would you have him back?"
