we are applying for leave to appeal, which means we must convince the court that we have a good enough case otherwise permission will be refused.
Also my understanding is that no costs will be paid until after an appeal as the appeal court can set aside or even reverse the trial judge's order on costs.
It would be interesting to see is Sainsbury's wanted to go to the supreme court if we win the appeal. Fingers crossed she rescues us from any more of this futile nonsense and turns it down.

The club already lack the cash to do this. I smell administration this season. Not without letting feelings known first, enough is enough for me, can't wait to face Higgs about this and won't be alone either given the feelings building up now, time to face the fans Higgs, really looking forward to seeing how much bluster you have for this showdown. Do you think he cares about what you think ?

If think we can safely say that there is not, and never has been, a Plan B. Or C, D, E, F... completely Wrong Well.we were told there was a plan b if we lost. If true then it cant be deemed as good as appealing the decision. Will plan B be via le in two years of we have lost an appeal

Just to give the opposite POV and not wishing to deviate too far from all the negativity, we might actually win. My advice is too relax and have a big drink or a smoke if preferred and see how it all plays out. Mean time support the team like crazy and look forward to being divvy 2 challengers this season. Or of course we could just moan all of the time and pass considered comments we really know f**k all about

Just goes to show how little people know about the legal system, me included. What I do know is the following:-
No one on here knows how much of a chance we have.
No one on here knows how much the appeal will cost.
No one on here knows how long it will take.
Opinions are fine, unfounded criticism based on no knowledge is bad form.

I don't think there's been a single shred of "unfounded criticism" of the board of Bristol Rovers in at least thirteen years.

Well we know we had to borrow the money to go to court in the first place and it is supposed to be paid back by the end of the year

Reckon it could go to Penalties so we'd win that no sweat.

Do you know if it definitely secured on the ground? Do you know the repayment schedule? Do you know if the directors will cover it? Do you know if it was the only way to raise the money or just the quickest way to satisfy the courts? Do you know if it's possible to repay this debt by adding to the mortgage? Genuine questions I would like answers too.

At some point the directors will stop funding the club's losses and the court action. Plus, Wonga need paying. As long as the bulk of the debt is internal and the external debt and liabilities don't exceed the value of assets, admintration would be the maddest decision since Clarke decided to line up with a back 3 against Mansfield. Even more so as administrators take a hefty chunk of any money they raise. So I guess the question is, why would you pay someone to sell property that you own so that you can be paid back out of any money that remains? I think we funded the court action with our Wembley ticket money. If I were Clarke I would be pretty miffed if my playing budget was cut because of that.

Well we dont know if the directors have it covered which is what i keep asking, but it was well reported we borrowed a million plus to fund the court case and some other expenses on a short term loan m.bristolpost.co.uk/High-loan-option-continue-Sainsbury-s-battle-says/story-26118985-detail/story.html

When this club finally runs out of cash and dies please let it be written somewhere in the graveyard of Football Clubs and the history books.
Bristol Rovers FC
Never in the field of sport have some many been let down by so few
The arrogance and ignorance of Box One and two totally inept show ponies in particular will kill my club !!!! It's heartbreaking !

Do you think he cares about what you think ? Just a suggestion. Instead of talking in riddles, or throwing up smoke screens around non existent Hidden Agendas, why don't you for once in your pathetic little life just try talking straight? Seriously find it easier to believe Psychic Sally than interpret one of your postings.

It's heartbreaking ! Don't let it happen then, our passive fanbase are pathetic, just accept the s**t that flies our way with polite indifference. It's ok nick, you took on that nasty big corporation and did your best, unlucky old chap. Other clubs wouldn't stand for this s**t and neither should we, how much patience and tolerance can one set of fans have. Start putting on the pressure and let them feel some heat whilst giving dc our full support. Let's start with the sky televised oxford game, a free hit and national publicity. Please anyone, save us from these incompetent jokers that are destroying our football club.
