November 1999, the Luton game was the first one with the roof.

November 1999, the Luton game was the first one with the roof. That's nearly 2000.

November 1999, the Luton game was the first one with the roof. Oh my duck. Really? I started going to Rovers before November 1999? I really didn't think that I did. But I know there wasn't a roof. My duck.

Bit harsh! Imagine trawling through threads and checking when all the 'last updates' were :-)

I know the close season can be a bit boring for some, but reading through 4 year old posts suggests that you may need to widen your social circle a bit. I haven't been. I was trying to work out when I first started going to Rovers, based on it being a first home game of a season in the sun on what is now the Thatcher's End, but without any roof present. I just searched this question on that Google, and this old Guzzler thread was the only informative answer I could find on the search results. Don't worry, Rex, just a bit of idle Googling while the duckling's at his mother's.

Ian Holloway was interviewed about the club on the BBC and said,'We've got a roof now'.Once the interview finished the pundits thought that remark was quite amusing.'My Word ,they've got a roof'.Pity all these years later our visiting fans still don't have one!!!!!
